ABM Students in Buting Senior High School S.Y 2019-2020

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
This research aims to look for “Effects of Extracurricular Activities to the Academic
Performance of Grade 12 ABM Students in Buting Senior High School”
Specifically, it answered the following:

1. What are the effects of extracurricular activities to the academic performance of

Grade 12 ABM students in terms of:
A. Strand
B. Age
C. Gender
2. What extracurricular activities help Grade 12 ABM students to excel in academic
performance?
3. What factors impact students’ participation in extracurricular activities and its
relation to academic performance?
4. What extracurricular activities could lead students to academic failure?
5. What extracurricular activities students needed to attend to have a better
academic success?

Scope and Limitation

This study is focused mainly on The Effects of Extracurricular Activities on Academic

Performance of Grade 12 ABM students. The study will be conducted in Buting senior
high school.

The respondents of the study are limited only to the grade 12 Senior high school S.Y.
2019-2020.

SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY

The Findings of our study will beneficial to different Group of People:

Students
The results will be significant to the future students and the presents that already
experienced the effects of extracurricular activities on the academic performance. It
serves guide for them so that they can be aware and able to cope up with it.
Teachers
It will also significant to the teachers of ABM strand because it may help for them to be
aware for the effects of extracurricular activities on the academic performance that their
students had encountered so that they can understand them and take actions.
Parents
The results will make them aware on what their children experienced in joining
extracurricular activities, so that they understand and help them.
Future Researchers
It can be serves as a basis or reference data for the future researchers. And may also
give an overview about the ABM course.

School Organization
This group will benefit from this study so that they will pay more attention to the students.
The principal will have a plan for students, they can make regarding extracurricular
activities and for them to understand the situation of the students.
