1.

Instrumentation is a collective term for measuring instruments used for indicating, measuring and recording physical
quantities, and has its origins in the art and science of scientific instrument-making.

2. thermistor - an electrical resistor whose resistance is greatly reduced by heating, used for measurement and control.

3. radiation - the emission of energy as electromagnetic waves or as moving subatomic particles, especially high-energy
particles that cause ionization.

4. instrument

5. transducers- a device that converts variations in a physical quantity, such as pressure or brightness, into an electrical
signal, or vice versa.

6. convection –

7. open loop system – also referred to as non-feedback system, is a type of continuous control system in which the output
has no influence or effect on the control action of the input signal.

8. conduction –

9. thermocouple - A thermocouple produces a temperature-dependent voltage as a result of the thermoelectric effect, and
this voltage can be interpreted to measure temperature. Thermocouples are a widely used type of temperature sensor.[1]

10. micrometer

11. caliper

12. thermowell - are tubular fittings used to protect temperature sensors installed in industrial processes.

13. filled bulb temp sensor - Filled-bulb systems exploit the principle of fluid expansion to measure temperature. If a fluid is
enclosed in a sealed system and then heated, the molecules in that fluid will exert a greater pressure on the walls of the enclosing
vessel. By measuring this pressure, and/or by allowing the fluid to expand under constant pressure, we may infer the temperature of
the fluid.

14. resistance temp detector - is a temperature sensor that operates on the measurement principle that a material’s
electrical resistance changes with temperature.

15.temperature - physical quantity expressing hot and cold.

16. pyrometer - is a type of remote-sensing thermometer used to measure the temperature of a surface.

17. transmitter - a set of equipment used to generate and transmit electromagnetic waves carrying messages or signals,
especially those of radio or television.

18. bi metal temp sensor -

19. thermometer

20. control - Control engineering or control systems engineering is the engineering discipline that applies control theory to
design systems with desired behaviors. Control engineers are responsible for the research, design, development and
control devices/systems, typically in manufacturing facilities and plants.
