Key Academic Project

A Storage Solution with iSER over InfiniBand for Mission Critical Applications. [2014-2015]

 This project analysis the performance of iSCSI Extensions for RDMA (iSER) over InfiniBand. This project show how the
iSER had a better performance, more secure and less CPU offload than iSCSI over TCP/IP and other traditional
communication protocol by enables efficient data movement and removing unnecessary data copy from iSCSI using
generic RDMA hardware and InfiniBand architecture that were conceived during the iSER design.
 Publish a research paper on analysis the performance of iSCSI Extensions for RDMA (iSER) over InfiniBand.
Major Projects

Unisys Global Service, Bangalore

Title : Stealth (Aware) [Jan 2017–Present]

Technology : C++, SQL, Common Information Model (CIM), NodeJS, JavaScript, JQuery, PowerShell, Git
Description : Stealth (Aware) provides a central location for monitoring and management of a Stealth network. Stealth
(Aware) provides the general management and control for servers using Stealth II. Every Stealth II enclave will
have at least one system configured to provide management services.
Highlights:
 Developed management and configuration tools using C++
 Manage the database using SQLite
 Contributed in Development of User Interface for generating configuration file of Stealth.
 Support in creation of architecture for the project
 JUnit Testing and Code Review
 Testing team support
 Following Scrum Agile Methodology and TDD Process

Title : Stealth (Customer Simulation and Automation) [June’16–Dec ‘2016]

Technology : JavaScript, JQuery, Chef, Git, Stealth Solution, PowerShell
Description : The primary objective of project Customer simulation and Automation is to automate the process of
bringing up the infrastructure (various components of Stealth that include EM server, Auth server,
Endpoints), configure Stealth to stimulate the customer environment for testing the network security
product of Unisys - Stealth.
Highlights:
 Learned newer technology: Python, Chef.
 Development of Solution templates and User Interface, which used by team to develop CSA application.
 Using PowerShell, Shell Scripting and Chef to automate the creation of infrastructure and configuration of Windows
and Linux machine for Stealth.

Title : High Availability for ClearPath Forward [Aug’15 - June’2016]

Technology : Web Development, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Node.js, HandleBar.js, High Availability,
Description : High Availability (HA) feature that enables you to configure and manage two or more partitions as a set of
highly available instances in a cluster. This enables failover capability for mission critical resources in the
event of disruptions to the current ClearPath Forward instance. When setting up robust production
systems, minimizing downtime and service interruptions is often a high priority. Regardless of how reliable
your systems and software, problems can occur that can bring down your applications or your servers.
Implementing high availability for ClearPath Forward infrastructure is a useful strategy to reduce the
impact of these types of events. Highly available systems can recover from server or component failure
automatically.
Highlights:
 Learned newer technology: High Availability, Cluster, Pacemaker and Node.js.
 Contributed in Development of the Single page and real time user interface for configure and manage the cluster
using node.js and socket.io.
 Collecting log and report generation of cluster for serviceability and troubleshooting.

Title : File Storage and Manager for ClearPath Forward [July 14- Aug 2015]
Technology : Shell Scripting, Linux, File Storage, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, iSCSI, iSER
Description : File and Storage Manager (FSM) solution provides the capability to manage persistent data storage within
the Forward! Fabric. The solution integrates with all external storage arrays supported by the Forward!
Fabric and supports the standard access protocols such as Common Internet File Systems (CIFS), Network
File Systems (NFS), and Internet Small Computer Interface (iSCSI). It provides volume management
capabilities using the external storage systems and can create and provision iSCSI-access based logical
volumes
Highlights:
 Using Shell Script to automate the creation of FSM Images.
 Monitoring tool (e.g. Nagios) to handle event and alert in the Linux partition. An event, which generate critical alert
(e.g. CPU usage is more than 90%) and send these alert to the administrator for troubleshooting.
 Report generation and Collecting log of FSM machine (Linux Partition) for serviceability and troubleshooting. Log
includes all the memory, CPU, network information etc. If any core-dump/crash will occur in a system, tool can able
to detect the cause of failure.
 Contributed in Development of User Interface for File Storage and Manager.
 Done a POC to analysis a performance difference between iSER and iSCSI.
