A Storage Solution with iSER over InfiniBand for Mission Critical Applications. [2014-2015]
This project analysis the performance of iSCSI Extensions for RDMA (iSER) over InfiniBand. This project show how the
iSER had a better performance, more secure and less CPU offload than iSCSI over TCP/IP and other traditional
communication protocol by enables efficient data movement and removing unnecessary data copy from iSCSI using
generic RDMA hardware and InfiniBand architecture that were conceived during the iSER design.
Publish a research paper on analysis the performance of iSCSI Extensions for RDMA (iSER) over InfiniBand.

Title : File Storage and Manager for ClearPath Forward [July 14- Aug 2015]
Technology : Shell Scripting, Linux, File Storage, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, iSCSI, iSER
Description : File and Storage Manager (FSM) solution provides the capability to manage persistent data storage within
the Forward! Fabric. The solution integrates with all external storage arrays supported by the Forward!
Fabric and supports the standard access protocols such as Common Internet File Systems (CIFS), Network
File Systems (NFS), and Internet Small Computer Interface (iSCSI). It provides volume management
capabilities using the external storage systems and can create and provision iSCSI-access based logical
volumes
Highlights:
Using Shell Script to automate the creation of FSM Images.
Monitoring tool (e.g. Nagios) to handle event and alert in the Linux partition. An event, which generate critical alert
(e.g. CPU usage is more than 90%) and send these alert to the administrator for troubleshooting.
Report generation and Collecting log of FSM machine (Linux Partition) for serviceability and troubleshooting. Log
includes all the memory, CPU, network information etc. If any core-dump/crash will occur in a system, tool can able
to detect the cause of failure.
Contributed in Development of User Interface for File Storage and Manager.
Done a POC to analysis a performance difference between iSER and iSCSI.
