Theories have always been contradictory in their nature primarily because they are just

theories. In order to have a clear understanding on the things that people really do, they have to
immerse themselves even further and go the extra mile. Theories have always been vast in their
nature primarily because they are theories. It may have different applications for each individual,
thus the diversity. What I have experienced, however, was a mix of both theory and practical
application. While I was immersed in an atmosphere that I thought I have already studied in
textbooks and lecture rooms, being in the actual area of learning itself still proves to be quite
different. Do I recommend this kind of immersion when an individual is studying? Yes, because
only through these kinds of experiences do you truly grow as an individual. You are more versed
in basic actions, and therefore, you are more capable of doing numerous little things.
Again, as I have already mentioned, everyone is capable of being an efficient hotelier.
There is actually no limit as to the number of people that I could nominate as efficient in the
hotel setting. The reason for this is because the type of work that each individual has does not
really matter. The attitude always surpasses skill in terms of importance primarily because you
cannot teach attitude. You can learn skills, but attitude still holds the most importance. I am
thankful to have worked with people with good attitudes. Each and everyone had a specific task
and a specific goal to achieve and as a result, everyone was able to work through the things that
they had to do. Team synergy, again, plays an important role. I believe that everyone in the team
was capable of doing each other’s tasks, all it needed was the time and the attitude to learn and
the rest will follow. I believe that everyone is capable of succeeding in the things that they
wanted to succeed in provided that they had the will and the capacity to learn.
Truth be told, I considered everything as a challenge. I was immersed in an environment
that I had little to no familiarity over. If anything, I had this fear that I would make a mistake that
could potentially lead me to being branded as irresponsible or underperforming or whatever. It
was something that instilled fear in me, but it did not stop me. As I’ve said, the attitude to learn
is one of the most important things that an individual has to have when it comes to work.
Without the right attitude and the drive to learn, people would not be able to reach anything in
the place that they are working in. If people really wanted to succeed, they would go the extra
mile. That was what I tried to prove during my stay in the program, I did not want to be branded
as a mediocre individual and therefore, I really tried my best to excel in each and everything that
was assigned to me. I did do my best not to step on anyone else too, I had to take that into
consideration too. I had to be nice to my co-workers, but I had to be an efficient member of the
team. I believe that if I wanted something to happen to other people, it had to start with me. That
was what I was trying to prove during the program.
The experience was an eye opener to me, I got to work with different people and learn
different things. I was able to immerse myself in a different work culture, understand the
capacity of other people and enjoy the work life. Other people might feel like working is boring
or hassle, but not for me. During the program, I was really able to enjoy it because I was able to
find out more about myself. I was able to push myself towards the limit and reach new barriers,
barriers that I had never thought existed within me. I was able to learn how to act around
different kinds of people, and I think that is the greatest skill that I have picked up from the
internship. In life, we will meet different people. We might meet introverts, extroverts and
people who just really do not want to work. I believe that understanding and immersing myself;
working with these kinds of different personalities will allow me to further enhance my capacity
to understand how the corporate world is. I know that this internship has taught me a lot, and I
believe that the skills that I have picked up here would be the same skills that I will use in life.
