Identify an organization and do the followings;


1- Organization’s information
a. Description of the organization
b. Type of business the company is in and the industry in which the company is performing
c. Organization’s vision, mission, values, objectives and strategies
d. Organizational structure/departments/functions and major works

2- Process analysis. Analyse process of one function (example: Human resource) you can choose a sin-
gle function (e.g.: recruitment) processes. Show one single process and its connection with other
functions. Use one of the tools to analyse the process (e.g.: six sigma/SWOT)
a. Write current processes. Describe well.
b. Model current processes (draw diagram by using correct notions(symbols)
c. identify bottlenecks(constraints) and inefficient areas and describe the reasons why you be-
lieve those areas are not efficient.
d. Identify improvements or the important changes require to redesign the processes.

3- Redesign the processes


a. Rewrite the processes with changes and compare new process with old.
b. Model the process by using flow chart diagram. Use proper notions(symbols)
c. Show the connection with other functions
d. Write the impact of new work processes and how the new processes will be a help to add
value to the business.
e. Identify the processes that require automation and describe the reason why it requires auto-
mation. If the existing process is an automatic process, then describe why it requires change
or upgrading.
f. Standardise the process (identify process activity time and resources required to complete the
process

General Rules
General Rules Governing Assessments
1. All references must be in APA style in conformance with the standards and guidelines as situplate in the
following website http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/apa/ . All materials cited must be taken from
credible sources.
2. Plagiarism, copying and cheating may result in your case being referred to the Disciplinary Committee
of the College.
3. The first page of all assignments must be the cover page as made available on the student portal.
4. Written assignment should be as per the style guide made available in the student portal.
5. ALL assignments must be submitted into the designated folder for submission on Google Classroom
UNLESS:-
a. The output of your assignment falls into the following categories
i. Teaching Aid
ii. Portfolio (Physical)
iii. Art Work
iv. Physical Models
v. Posters
vi. Other similar materials
For the above cases students are required to submit a photo of their assignment to the Google
Classroom Folder and handover the physical work to the lecturer as instructed.
6. If an extension on assignment is granted, the approved extension grant number must be stated on the
cover-sheet in the designated box.
7. Evaluation of the assignment will be as stipulated on page 1 of this Module Assessment Brief.
8. All written assignments must confirm to the similarity threshold as stipulated on page 1 of this
assessment brief. Assignments that are found to be beyond the stipulated threshold will be rejected
and students will be required to re-submit accordingly.
9. Avid College Practices ZERO TOLERANCE towards plagiarism and copying. Students found
10. Student must apply for ASSESSMENT EXTENSION with valid reason. The form must be submitted 3
working days prior to the deadline stipulated on page 1. The said form will be made available on the
student portal. Should an extension be granted, you are required to input the grant serial number on
assessment cover page.
11. The college will accept your assignments with a penalty of 5% marks each day for a maximum period

of 15 days after the deadline as stipulate on page 1 of this brief.
12. Students surpassing 15 days will be required to apply Reassessment Request Form and if approved
will be given a different assignment question to be completed within 15 days and a penalty of capping
the total marks at 50%.
13. Ensure that you meet 80% of the ATTENDANCE to complete each module assessment. Should you
fail to meet the required attendance, you will be barred from the examination and will be required to
remodule. Students will NOT be given individual classes outside the set schedule to cover the
minimum required attendance.
14. If your assessment involves a QUIZ, this will be treated as a mini exam whereby you will be required
to follow general rules of examination. Should you be absent for the Quiz with an acceptable reason,
you are advised to submit the Reassessment Request Form student portal together with
documentary evidence.
15. If your assessment involves PRESENTATION, you will be given a time schedule to attend the
presentation. You are advised to be 10 minutes early for the presentation time, however, if you are
late more than 15 minutes of your allotted time without informing the programme coordinator you will
be required to submit the Reassessment Request Form in the student portal. If you are not able to
attend as allotted, the student must notify the programme coordinator in writing 1 day prior to the
scheduled time slot.

General Rules Governing Final Examination


1. Punctuality is important, ensure that you report to the examination hall 15 minutes prior to scheduled
commencement of the examinations.
2. When reporting for the final examination you are advised to leave your electronic (including and not
limited to mobile phone, tablets, smartwatches, programmable calculators) at home. However should
you bring any of these items you are required to switch them off, secure them within your bag and
place the bags at the designated areas. The college will not be held liable for any loss of valuables or
theft of personal items being left in the bags.
3. Only the following items are allowed on your designated examination desk;
a. stationary and writing material (no purse or pencil case allowed),
b. scientific calculators (if needed)
c. water bottle
d. national ID / student card.
4. Eating and drinking of any beverage (except for water) is strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
5. Students are not allowed to leave the examination hall until after 60 minutes have lapsed from the
commencement of the examination.
6. Students reporting to examinations after 30 minutes has lapsed from the commencement of the
examination will be denied entry to the hall and subsequently participating in the examination.
7. Upon entering to the exam hall, the only communication allowed is between the invigilator and you are
required to keep the necessary decorum during your communication (upon raising your hand & waiting
for the invigilator to attend you and speak in a soft voice… etc).
8. Only one student will be allowed to go out from the examination at any time, and is required to sign out
and sign in on the designated sheet while leaving and entering the hall.
9. The cover sheet should be filled in BLOCK LETTERS.
10. Students found violating the decorum expected at an examination (includes and not limited to
possession of material that can be used for cheating, communicating or attempting to communicate
with other students whilst the examination is taking place, taking a peak or attempting to take a peak
from the answer script of other students… etc) will be reported to the Disciplinary Committee and
maybe charged with Academic Dishonesty and subsequent penalties should the student be found
guilty.
11. Students are NOT allowed to take out of the examination hall any of the following,
a. Examination Question Paper
b. Answer script or any part of which

c. Any draft paper provided to you in the exam hall.
12. Follow the instruction from the invigilators read the questions carefully before answering.
13. Should a student fail an examination, you are required to fill Reassessment Request Form and check
for approval prior to the designated resit period.
14. All Resit Examinations will be scheduled during week 2 of the subsequent semesters. Should you fail
to attend this resit examination due to acceptable reasons another resit examination will be scheduled
during the Final Examination period of the subsequent semester.
a. Should you sit and fail for the module during any of the resit examinations you will be required
to Remodule when the module is next offered.
b. If you fail to submit the Reassessment Form within 14 days of the release of Final Examination
results, you will be required to Remodule when the module is next offered.
c. All marks will capped at 50% for the resit attempt
15. After the final tabulation of the marks if a student FAILS to achieve more than 35% of the total, the
student will be required to Remodule when the module is next offered.
16. Should fail to report to the Final Examination as per the schedule you are required to submit the
Reassessment Request Form.
