I, Fernando Gomes de Souza Jr, professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, declare for the
purposes of knowledge and control of the agencies responsible for the Ph.D. student of this program ,
Nathali Ricardo Barbosa de Lima, has her research plan “Synthesis of Thiol-PEG-PBS-Grafted Gold
Nanoparticles for the Treatment of Head and Neck Cancer” approved by me and the Graduate Program
in Science and Technology Polymer Technology.
LaBioS-Laboratory of Biopolymers and Sensors, coordinated by me, declares that the student has the
materials and reagents listed below and that these will be essential for further research at
Pharmacological faculty - Montreal University- Canada, in partnership with the group. and through the
guidance of Professor Valérie Gaëlle Roullin. The student leaves Rio de Janeiro towards Montreal on
08/01/2019 and returns to Brazil on 01/31/2020. Professor Gaëlle Roullin's group has been actively
developing research that fits perfectly for further study. The group specializes in drug technology,
physical chemistry, and pharmaceutical chemistry. Analyzing innovative drug targeting and release
methods. The group can provide scientific and technical knowledge in pharmaceutical and
nanoparticulate systems as well as full characterization and biological evaluation. They have the benefit
of having up to date equipment such as (HPLC, LC-MS / MS, fluorescence microscopy, DLS / ELS, laser
diffractometry, FACS) and specific facilities such as (culture rooms, facilities and ease of access to
studies). as well as assistance from well-trained specialists in various fields ranging from chemistry to
molecular analysis and cell biology. From now on, I say that Ph.D. student Nathali Ricardo Barbosa de
Lima is able to do this work.
