Greetings from Montfort Academy-
Odiongan! The Montfort family is very happy to
share with you regarding the programs and
progress in Montfort Academy– Odiongan, Rom-
blon. With God’s help and your overwhelming
support, Montfort Academy extended its service
to the educational needs of the people of
Odiongan in June 2017. It is two (2)years since
the Computer Training Centre was established.

Montfort Academy-Odiongan held its
Second (2nd) Commencement Exercises on Mr. Giuseppe Di Rossi & Bro. Mathew Kavumkal, Fsg.
October 11, 2019 at Odiongan Covered Court. Benefactors of Montfort Academy—Odiongan
Hon. Mayor. Trina Alejandra Firmalo-Fabic, Mayor of Odiongan served as Commencement Speaker. Mrs. Sa-
rah Faa from TESDA confirmed the graduation of candidates. Hon. Gov. Edwardo Firmalo showed his com-
mitment to empower the youth through employable skills and sponsored 60 scholarship vouchers from the
Provincial Government of Romblon. In addition, the Montfort Academy also offered 37scholarship vouchers
to the youth from poor and marginalized families. The Technical Educational and Skills Development Authori-
ty awarded 20 scholarship vouchers to the youth of Odiongan. The graduates successfully passed the Nation-
al Assessment and earned National Certificate level II.

Training Induction Program for New Batch


October 27, 2018

Montfort Academy—Odiongan conducted Train-


ing Induction Program for the new batch of trainees on
October 27, 2018. Ms. Rochelle Zulueta from TESDA ori-
ented the new batch of trainees on TESDA, the purpose
and benefits of the scholarship programs. She also moti-
vated the trainees to engage actively in learning in or-
der to become competent TESDA graduates in their
chosen area of specialization. Hon. David Fos DImaala, a
SB-member from Odiongan encouraged the students to
be responsible learners and to become contributing
members of the local community. Mr. Randy, trainer in
Computer System Servicing NCII oriented the trainees
on School policies, training program and other maters.
The scholarship was granted to the trainees through the
Orientation of students with generosity of DIWA party list. We are grateful to the DI-
Mr. David Fos Dimaala, WA party list for their commitment to enable the youth
SB Member—Odiongan through skills training programs in the municipality of
Odiongan. We appreciate and honor our partnership
with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the very supportive Mu-
nicipal Government under the Leadership Hon.Trina Alejandra Firmalo-Fabic.

Institutional Assessment
December 03, 2018

On December 03, 2018, institutional assessment was given one (1) batch of students. It is
aimed to prepare the trainees for the National Competency Assessment.

Seminar on Labor Education


December o7, 2018

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) also a seminar on Labor and
Education. This was facilitated by Mr. Paulbert Pukias from DOLE. This seminar provides
Information regarding the employment opportunities for TESDA graduates and orients
them on issues and concerns at the workplace according to the Philippine Labor law. This
also creates awareness among the trainees on the rights and benefits of employees in
the Philippines.

National Assessment - Certification

On December 10, 2018 – one batch of 20 trainees National Assessment of trainees ap-
peared for National Assessment. Ms. Rochelle Zulueta acted as Representative from
TESDA- Romblon

Another batch of 25 Students in Computer System Servicing sat for the National
Assessment on January 04, 2019. – Mr. Eric M. Talamisan, the competency asses-
sor assessed the trainees at Montfort Academy, Dapawan, Odiongan

On May 27, 2019 – 23 students who availed partial and full scholarship from
Montfort Academy appeared for the National Assessment of 23 CSS Students
under Mr. Eric M. Talamisan as the Competency Assessor.

Training Induction Program by TESDA Provincial Director

On June 06, 2019 – Training Induction program of 20 CSS Students was conducted by
TESDA Provincial Director Rhozalie Amazona. She oriented the new batch of trainees
under Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). She also emphasized on work
ethics and motivated the trainees to become competent skilled workers.

The Holistic Approach company, a Partner agency of Department of Labor and Employment
conducted job orientation to our ongoing trainees and graduates on June 13, 2019 – This agency
helps the graduates to find jobs in both local and multinational companies in the Philippines

Visit of Bro. George P.J.—Provincial Superior

June 06, 2019 – Training Induction program of 20 CSS Students


In Montfort Academy (MA) Inc. Extension with TESDA director Rhozalie Amazona

Rev. Bro. George Palackal, FSG visited Montfort Academy-Odiongan on June 17, 2019. It
was his first official visit to Philippines. In his motivational speech, he emphasized that the
students must plan their life in order to become productive and successful persons in life.
