ADVERTISEMENT
Applications are invited from the desirous candidates having requisite
qualification and experience along with supporting documents as required
under Rule-5 and 6 of the Family Courts (Orissa) Rules, 1990 and amendments
made there under from time to time for appointment to the vacant post of
Counsellor in the Court of the Judge, Family Court, Rayagada. The Counsellor
shall be appointed by the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa.
1. Eligibility and Qualifications of Counsellor.
A candidate, in order to be eligible for the above post;
(a) Shall be a citizen of India,
(b) Shall have passed Master’s Degree in Social Science (preferably in Sociology or
Psychology)
Provided that where such persons are not available, persons above the age of
thirty five working in the field of social service and welfare activities and
engaged in promoting the welfare of Family and Child Care with a degree in
Social Science (preferably in Sociology or Psychology) shall be eligible.
(c) Shall have minimum experience of three years in family counselling.
(d) Shall be able to speak, read and write Odia and have passed test in Odia
equivalent to the M.E. Standard.
(e) Shall be of sound health, good physique and free from organic defects or
bodily infirmity and
(f) Shall have not more than one spouse living.
2. FUNCTIONS OF COUNSELLOR:
The functions of Counsellor shall be regulated in accordance with the terms
and conditions laid down in the Family Courts (Orissa) Rules, 1990 and
amendments made there under from time to time.
3. FEE OF A COUNSELLOR:
As per rule 33 of the Family Courts (Orissa) Rules, 1990 read with Resolution
No.1693, dtd;15.02.2019 of Law Department, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar,
the Counsellor shall be entitled to assisting fee of Rs.788/- (Rupees seven
hundred & eighty eight only) per one day’s actual work or as admissible from
time to time.
4. HOW TO SUBMIT APPLICATION
Plain paper applications by furnishing following particulars with the required
Declaration and duly signed by the applicant shall be submitted along with self
 attested copies of necessary documents.

For convenience of the applicants, the format of application is annexed
to the advertisement and the same can also be downloaded from the official
website of the District Court, Rayagada and the link is provided at the end of
the advertisement for downloading the detailed advertisement and the
format of application online.
The applications of eligible candidates shall be transmitted to the
Hon’ble High Court of Orissa, Cuttack after being scrutinized by the Judge,
Family Court, Rayagada for further action for appointment.
5. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
I) Self attested photo copies of all Educational qualification certificates.
Ii) Experience Certificate in the field of Social service and welfare activities &
involvement in promoting the welfare of Family and Child care with a degree
in Social Science (preferably in Sociology or Psychology)
Iii) Two nos. of self attested recent passport size photographs of the
candidate.
6. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: - Plain paper application in
prescribed format along with the required documents & self attested passport
photographs etc. (in a closed cover addressed to the Judge, Family Court,
Rayagada) must reach the Office of the Judge, Family Court, Rayagada on or
before 31.08.2019 (5 p.m.) either by post or may be dropped in the Drop Box
provided for the purpose in the office of the Family Court, Rayagada on each
working day during working hours. Incomplete applications, in any manner,
are liable to be summarily rejected. Applications received after 5 p.m. on the
last date by any means shall not be taken into consideration.
