These are the steps I followed to successfully flash my LG V10 (T-mobile) and gain root on the stock MM 6.0. As a
disclaimer, I take no responsibility in what you do to your phone. The steps below are what worked for me and I
am sharing them to hopefully assist someone else in flashing their LG V10.
Download the H90120j_00_0712.kdz (stock MM 6.0 T-mobile) file from the following link:

Restart your LG V10 and hold the VOLUME UP button until it goes into “Download mode”

Connect the phone to your computer and run the LGUP tool. It will detect the LG V10 phone
6 Under the “Process” selection options, make sure the UPGRADE option is selected
Click on the white space on the “File path” column next to the BIN File so the button with 3 little dots
appears

Click on the button with the 3 little dots to open an "Open file dialog box". Select the .kdz file you
downloaded

Press the “Start” button to start the flashing process. When the phone is done, it will restart itself.
11 Follow the steps on “STEP#2” guide to enable the developer options which is required to enable:
Enable OEM unlock
USB debugging
12 Copy the SuperSU zip file you downloaded previously on STEP#1 guide to your SD-card in your phone
13 Restart your LG V10 and hold the VOLUME UP button until it goes into “Download mode”
Boot into TWRP. There are two ways to do this (Software or Manual):
Software / app
Quickboot or Flashify -> Select the “Recovery” option, restarts your phone and boots into TWRP

o Follow Steps 16-20
16 Turn your phone off
Hold down the power button and the Volume down button and wait until your see the LG logo then do
the following while still holding down the VOLUME DOWN button:

1. Let go of the power button for 1 sec
2. Press and hold the power button again
Continue to hold both buttons until you see the factory data reset screen

Use the volume buttons as UP / DOWN directional arrows and the power button as the “ENTER” button.
Select the button “YES” and press the power button. You will have to do this twice.

You will now exit the “Factory data reset” screen and boot into TWRP

To get “root” on your current stock MM 6.0 you must flash SuperSU:
1. Go to the Install section
21 2. Search for and select the SuperSu zip file
3. Flash the SuperSu zip file
4. Restart your phone
