Introduction

We think the most unique product that gain a lot of benefits on both owners and

buyer of the product at the same time affordable, echo friendly and healthy, and

also to help our government to decrease the number of the people who have

suffering diabetes.

That’s why we make our own product that have potential anti-diabetic

components the Pancake with aratelis syrup. Aratelis fruit can found in every

where in our country but nobody pays attention to the fruit and its medical

properties, no one realize that it has potential for becoming a regulator of

diabetes. That’s why we are thankful to Maria Isabel Layson to become our

inspiration to create this product.

Maria Isabel Layson a student scientist from Iloilo city discovered potential anti-

diabetic components in the aratelis fruit. A descovery she recently presented in

an international science fair science fair in United States. Aratelis fruit have

bioactive compounds like anthocyanin, flavoniod and polyphenol. These

components may be useful as a cure for diabetes.

Are main reason why we create this product because we want to help the

people who experiencing diabetes. Recently we notice that diabetes is the

deadliest desease in our country.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), diabetes is the deadliest desease

in the country, with millions afflicted due to lifestyle and genetic factions.

The Philippines has seen an increase in diabetes affliction, with the forecast the

estimate at 7.8 million doabetic Filipinos by 2030. Diabetes is the deadliest

desease in the country because it will give you a number of serious health

problems. Consistently high blood glucose levels can lead o serious desease

affecting the hearth and blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, nerves and teeth.

In addition, people with diabetes also have a higher risk of developing infections.

In almost all high-income countries, diabetes is a leading cause of cardiovascular

disease, blindness, kidney failure, and lower limb amputation.

Researchers planned to sell pancake with aratelis syrup in Looc Integrated

School (LIS) Looc Calamba Laguna. And also to gathered data that help the

researchers to know their strength and weaknesses that’s why they can improve

their strategy and marketing skills.

Background of the Study

We make this product proposal for the purpose that to serve to our valued

costumers in our new product the Pancake with aratelis syrup that will customers

love’s because of its unique taste and the same time of it’s being affordable and

healthy benefits. Pancake is one of the common dessert food in the Philippines

that can purchased for affordable price and can found every where that’s why

we add some twists. We create our own syrup that can purchase too the aratelis

syrup. Our main and highlight ingredients is muntingia calabura, Jamaican cherry,

commonly known as alateris fruit. Aratelis fruit can be found anywhere in the

Philippines. Aratelis is a small tree that measuring 5 to 10 meters high with

spreading branches leaves are light green, oblong ovate to broadly oblong

lanceolate measuring 8-13 cm long and with toothed margins. This fruit gives lot

of benifits to the costumers. Aratelis fruit have an anti-diabetic components like

anthocanin, flavonoid, and polyphenol in the aratelis fruit. These components

maybe usefull as a cure for the diabetes.

Statement of the problem

This feasibility study is intended to evaluate the feasibility of selling

Conceptual Framework

The technical study of the project comprises product description, product

process, equipment and materials, plant location and plant layout. In this area, it

discusses how our “pancake with aratelis syrup” produce what ingredients and

equipments are needed. The marketing study covers the general business

condition, competitive condition, target market, demand, supply, product,

pricing strategy, promotion, and packaging. This area talks about the structured

questionnaire floated to the respondents and the result determines the demand

and supply and for the researchers to know whether their product will penetrate

the target market.

The financial study shows the capitalization, sources of funds, total sales, total

expenses, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, return on

investment, and ratio analysis. This area discusses if the business is profitable or not.

In addition, it serves as a guide for the researchers to know if the transactions

within 3 years are increasing.

 The management study shows the form of ownership, the structure of the

business, job analysis and company policies that the researchers had formulated.

The socio-economic study shows the contribution of the study to the

government and to the society. This area proves that the business existed not only

Scope and Limitation

This study of the “pancake with aratelis syrup” restricted to Looc Integrated

School and will be based on management, marketing, technical, socio-

economic, and financial aspect of business. Students will be covered as part of

the respondents. The product will be disseminated through direct selling and

orders are also accepted from the customer within in Looc Integrated School

from those who are willing to purchase our product.

Significance of the study

The study gives the consumer a product which is budget friendly and the

same they get a health benefits. The results of the study will be of great

benefit to the following.

To the customers-The researchers believed that the costumers will gain a lot

of benefit because our product had a reasonable price and health benifits

that reduce the customers chances having diabetes. They will benefit by

buying the product and they will see that it can be used for a long time.

To the researchers-in doing the study. Researchers increased their wisdom

and acquired new skill that they can use in their profession. This paper can

enlighten their thinking with regards to the reality of life especially as we walk

towards the path of the business world.

To the government-The researchers believed that aratelis pancake can reduce

the chances of the consumers having a diabetes. Diabetes is the most deadliest

disease of the country thats why researchers believed that they can help

government by reducing their consumers having a diabetes.

Teachers- teacher can also benefit specially to those who have a diabetes

because our product has a aratelis syrup that can help those who have a

diabetes because Aratelis fruit have bioactive compounds like anthocyanin,

flavoniod and polyphenol. These components may be useful as a cure for

diabetes.

Sellers- sellers also benefit because they can earn money by selling their product

and it’s also experience for them. They can also improve their strategies by selling

their product.

Future researchers- future researchers aim to benefit because this research can

be their basis for their research .

Definition of terms

Affliction-something that causes pain or suffering.

Amputation-the action or surgically cutting of a limb.

Anthocyanin-a blue , violet, or red flavonoid pigment found in plants.

Demand- an insistent and peremptory request, made as if by right “a series of the

Diabetes-a disease in which the body’s ability to reproduce or respond to the

hormone insulin is impared, resulting in abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates

and elevated levels of glocose in the blood and urine.

Disseminated-having spread throughout an organ or the body “symptoms vary

from mild localized disease to severe disseminated infection”.

Flavonoid-any of a large class of plant pigments having a structure based on or

similar to that of flavone.

Infections-the process of infecting or the state of being infected.

Polyphenol-a compound containing more than one phenolic hydroxyl group.
