ANDROID BASED ENCRYPTED SMS SYSTEM

ABSTRACT:
This is a sophisticated encoding and decrypt system targeting the SMS for humanoid users
each go and fro.The System makes use of the SMS that you just see within the inbox,
however this technique filters out the one are encrypted and shows it within their personal
inbox in the application. The shared personal secret’s already outlined within the application
and one has to not insert something however the user id that is by default encrypted within
the message. This technique makes use of AES encoding formula to encrypt and rewrite the
message. This app uses humanoid studio as its side and SQLite as backside.

INTRODUCTION:
Android is mobile software supported the unique system kernel and presently developed by
google. Android is popular with technology firms that need ready-made, low
value customizable software for high-tech devices, particularly text messages,is useful and
helpful for several cases . For this purpose, we have planning to develop a mobile based
application named short message. SMS employs symmetric-key cryptography, here we use
secrete key for each cryptography and coding. Therefore key is familiar for sender and
receiver of the message. SMS depends on secret key embedding. Secret key embedding is
used for checking the correctness of a coding key that is entered by the user. This
information is associated with every message

LITERATURE SURVEY:

Existence system:
The necessity of providing security to SMS has been imperative since an extended time and
plenty of algorithms and techniques are enforced in numerous platforms to do and supply
security to the messages. At this time there square measure many algorithms supported
radially symmetrical that has security to the messages transferred supported a shared secret
key. Private-key systems have to be compelled to use keys that square measure a minimum
of as long because the message to be encrypted. Symmetric encryption needs that a secure
channel be accustomed exchange the key, which seriously diminishes the quality of this
sort of cryptography system when we refer SMS.
Proposed system:

The projected system uses the thought of elliptic curve cryptography on with AES to code the
message and send it over a standard channel. The sender writes a message and offers the
recipient’s range, once he sends the message the rule is triggered on each the devices. The
keys are generated and shared among the devices and also the cryptography takes place at the
senders finish. once cryptography, the message is distributed to the receiver and he decrypts
it exploitation his key to scan it.

Conclusion:

SMS could be a easy, easy and simple to use. wherever access management plays a vital role.
Thus, our application will be accustomed evidence the sender of message. it's attainable to find if
message is corrupted throughout transmission. the foremost vital is that the security of the
encrypted information against varied attacks. thus this application can be used for secure transfer
of information|of knowledge|of information with none corrupted data section.

1.Trusted SMS communication on mobile devices.

Author Name: J. P. Albuja and E. V. Carrera

Description:

In this paper author has introduced the upper growth of the Short Message Service (SMS) use
has remodeled this service in an exceedingly widespread tool for social and commerce electronic
messaging. Thus, this paper introduces Associate in Nursing SMS security framework, many
encryption algorithms in line with the machine power and battery usage of every mobile device.

2.Building secure user-to user messaging in mobile telecommunication networks.

Author Name: Zhao, A. Aggarwal and S. Liu

Description:

In this paper author explained that Short Message Service and Multimedia Message Service are
popularly used and will be more popular in the future. However, the security of SMS and MMS
messages is still a problem. There is no end-to-end security in these services. There have been
some solutions proposed for this issue in literature, but these are not suitable for user-to-user
communication.
