– People will become more active at work and healthier without depending too much on
technologies / exercise body (healthier activity).
– Less likely to occur any kind of accident (cars, weapons, house burning cause from
overuse electricity, anything that will cause explosion, pollution, and etc) which will harm/loss
someone’s life even living things and earth.
There are a lot of bad sides of having no technology and below are a few to mention:
– All the things take longer to produce for example food, if we want to eat vegetables and
fruits, we need to wait it to harvest.
For cloth, to make more cloth needs more workers and it take days and weeks to complete
clothes. As for food and cloth, we can live without technology as it is not a whole part from
technology just that without it, work seems taking longer than ever.
For car, people will have to walk all the way from where they are, if the places they go are too far,
maybe using old method either by bicycle or boat.
If there’s no device like mobile, laptop and etc people will find it hard to contact others especially
when there’s an emergency.
– For light, we cannot see the whole area clearly when walking down the path of dark area, only
when with a light candle for an example. As for that, the world might seem darker during night
time.
– Some sickness cannot be cure and we wouldn’t know what cause it.
All of the things stated above are just some predictions and comparisons of what happen if
there’s no technology exists.
Mental health
One of the most dramatic impacts of technology is the decline of the quality and
quantity of sleep. The sleep chemical melatonin is influenced by the constant glow
from screens. So keeping technology is likely to interfere with your sleep and
effects your general state. What is even more serious is that people
become addicted to technology. This has a detrimental effect on person’s health
and social life, and destroys social and family bonds. Among other mental
problems caused by computers is a new type of stress called The chronic
Smartphone Stress. It is caused by notifications (or their absence), constant
anticipation of a message or e-mail. If a person doesn’t get enough attention, this
can make you feel stressed or even depressed. Excessive information space,
exaggerated online reality, internet overuse, and social comparison are all factors
potentially provoking depressive behavior.
2.0 shows that birds are dying because of the electromagnetic
radiation emitted from cell phone towers. How far is it true?
There has been research done abroad which says there is some kind of
impact on birds due to cell phone towers. I was part of a committee that
looked into this issue 10 years ago.
A lot of literature review was done then and it was found that the decline of
sparrows in cities is not only because of cell phone towers. There are other
reasons also, like lack of food and pesticides which led to a decline in the
number of sparrows.
One of the biggest differences in the way that children live today
is that they don’t get as much exercise as they used to. This is
because technology such as computers, smart phones and
television encourages them to be sedentary when they get home
from school, as opposed to going outside and playing with other
kids. Child obesity rates have risen drastically over the past
several decades. In 2012, the child obesity rate was measured to
be 18 percent, which is an 11 point difference from the obesity
rate in 1980. While many schools and parents have made strides
to change this by promoting organized exercise both during and
after school, we still have a long way to go in helping kids
playing in more conventional ways.
2) Excess power consumption: Power consumption is high due to technology. We use technology in
education, the workplace, at home and even in remote places. We are addicted to television, smartphones
and other gadgets. So we always need electric energy to make them work non-stop. This electric energy is
generated by the use of fossil or nuclear fuels on a large scale. The previous man did not need electricity
throughout the day. He needed it for night lighting. Now he needs it 24 hours and in all the seasons to keep
his gadgets running.
3) We generate more waste: We contribute a large amount of toxic waste in the name of technological
up-gradation. Previously people used large-sized computers. For this, we needed large monitors, CPUs,
separate keyboards, mouse, etc. Now we tend to use laptops and tablets for their compactness and
portability. They do not have separate parts like monitors, keyboards, etc. So in upgrading to laptops, all
the large size desktop computers were disposed into the environment. Similarly, tungsten bulbs were
replaced by fluorescent bulbs which are again being replaced by incandescent bulbs.
4) Excess use of gadgets: Now a day we can see many people on the roads, trains and even parks busy on
their mobiles or tablets. This is more of an addiction to gadgets and the apps inside.
This leads to the need for WiFi and other wireless connectivity. Due to these wireless technology, radiation
exposure is high leading to silent health problems. Even it is believed that some birds also get extinct in the
region of these wifi enabled areas.
5) Excess Deforestation: In the name of development, comfort, etc. there is widespread deforestation.
This is possible due to the larger capacity of machinery technology. We can make a wide clearing of
greenery in a very short span and also dig tunnels through the hills and mountains.
The scarcity of water indicates a deficit of water, a disproportion within need and storage.
Water scarcity concerns water pressure, water curtailment or shortages, and the water emergency.
This situation may cause due to both environment and individuals. Main circumstances that
contribute to this problem include inadequate supervision of resources, lack of management
awareness, and man-made waste.
even though cell phones are great they can also produce hearing problems and brain
damage. because phones are becoming so great more people are getting them and peole
are spending more time on them
cell phones kill honeybees.....these days honey is used by hr8 patients & they would also
someday die if this is continuously followed
Children all over the world have now got mobiles, PC, gaming consoles (including things like
ipod, PSP, DS, etc.) which are affecting their education. This also leads to the most
important, CYBER BULLYING. Cyber bullying is leading to more frequent deaths to people
under 18 such as suicidal deaths. Technology is leading us to the worst for our future. The
children wont get proper jobs when they grow up and they will end up on the streets.
