Activity : Ice breaking, Basic forms and functions

Time Activity
2.30-2.40p.m. Housekeeping
 Register
 Make sure pupils line up before entering and put them to sit
 Distributes name tags
 Facilitator introduction
2.40-3.10p.m. Ice breaking activity
 Pupils write down their name, age and class on the name tag
given
 They are given time to decorate their name tag
 Once done, pupils will drop their tags in a box prepared by
the facilitators.
3.10-3.15p.m. Finding my manito
 Pupils will take the name tags from the box
 They must not take their own tags
 Once they have taken, they will find the manito and stand
beside them
3.15-4.00p.m. Meeting and greeting
 Facilitators introduce phrases such as ‘Hello, good afternoon’,
‘Have you eaten?’ via power point presentation.
 Once pupils have found their manito, they can go around
meeting and greeting others using the phrases on the PPT
slide.
4.00-4.20p.m. Action Song
 Facilitator plays an action video song (Hello how are you?)
via powerpoint presentation
 Pupils watch the video and do the action
 Then pupils sing and carry out the action at the same time
4.20-4.30p.m. Post housekeeping and Bye
 Facilitator instructs pupils to clean up their place and pack
their things
 Pupils line up before leaving
 Facilitator reminds pupils about the next class
 Facilitators uses symbols and signs to say goodbye
