Pathardi, Beed, Wadwani, Majalgaon, Parali,
Gangakhed, Palam, Loha etc. As per instructions given
by SE NH Circle, Aurangabad on their site visit the
untackled Stretch Parali to Gangakhed is now proposed
for partial strengthening.

AUTHORITY :- The work is included in the proposed Annual plan for year 2018-19, which is
submitted to MORT & H New Delhi, for state of Maharashtra by Chief
Engineer, National Highway(PW) Navi Mumbai.

INTRODUCTION & NECESSITY :-


The New National Highway No 361F Starts from Kharwandi-
Rajuri-Beed-Parali-Gangakhed-Loha Road has been newly named as NH
361F in Parbhani District

The Stretch of the road from Parali to Gangakhed is in very


bad condition. There are several pot holes and patches and uneven side
berms in the stretch of Chainage from 155/0 to 161/000, causing
inconvenience to the traffic and the road users. In order to improve the
condition of the road the Estimate is framed in accordance to the availability
of Funds.

PROVISIONS:-
Following are the Provisions made in this estimate.

1) The camber, sunken portion, undulation correction & pot holes will be fill up
with 50 mm thick B.M. with 3.40 % bitumen VG 40 grade with tack coat
0.30kg/Sqm of Bitumen VG 40 Grade. )

2) Providing and laying Hot mix Hot Laid Dense Bituminous Mecadam of 50mm

for 1/12/2018.

SPECIFICATIONS :- The work shall be executed as per the Standard Specification laid in the

Division, Jalna on the work for Partial strengthening to Kharwandi-Rajuri-Beed-
Parali-Gangakhed-Loha NH361F section:Parali to Gangakhed (KM 155/0 to 165/0).

Following officers were present during site inspection :

The road is newly declared as NH361F starting from to


Kharwandi-Rajuri-Beed-Parali-Gangakhed-Loha road NH361F. It is an important
road which connects several districts like Ahmednagar, Beed, Parbhani and
Nanded and talukas like Pathardi, Shirur, Beed, Wadwani, Majalgaon, Parali,
Gangakhed, Loha etc.
Since the road is now upgraded to National highway, the road
surface condition is bad and requires strengthening in some of the stretches as
there are several pot holes and sunken portion, which are causing inconvenience
to road users. The stretches which need to be strengthen are KM 155/0 to 165/0
(Parali to Gangakhed).
The above mentioned stretches are included in strengthening
programme for the year 2018-2019. As instructed by SE, NH Circle, Aurangabad
by letter No.PB-3/1046, Dt. 08/08/2012 and actual inspection of site, following
provisions should be made to strengthen damaged stretches.
a) Bituminous macadam (BM) of VG-30 for rectification of patches in
sunken portions.
b) Dense bituminous macadam (DBM) of VG-30.
c) Bituminous concrete (BC) of VG-30 for surfacing.
d) Side shoulders by filling murum and providing information / cautionery
boards.
