About this ebook

Are you confused about why humans cannot seem to get along in a rational and peaceful manner? Why can people not seem to agree on the most simple of moral decisions?
Are you fearful that humanity is getting ever closer to its own self-destruction?
Does it worry you that there exist so many different problems in society, from the constant feelings of no purpose to not understanding discrimination, or why people act so bizarre?
If you want to better understand how people think, how society functions, or fear humanity is going down a dangerous path, then read "The Risen Beast's Divinity."

This book embarks on an intuitive-introspection journey into the human condition that is accessible for all readers. It is part philosophic, part narrative, part apocalyptic, and part religious.

This text is both a descriptive attempt at defining the human condition, while also becoming a prescriptive advice book with how to use this knowledge both on personal and societal levels. It is designed to be a real page-turner and to challenge the way you look at humanity.

"The book will shake your belief in religion, science, and the laws of nature that even science has not been able to explain... I highly recommend it to people who love to be challenged intellectually by great minds. Artists, civil servants, religious people, activists, and educators will find this book very interesting."

    Author Preface

Whenever a book is written on humanity, its content rarely gets inspired by the expressed joys of one’s life. Rather, such texts are retched from the soul, as the body tries to rid the mind of poison. This text falls into the second category in that it is a labour of love, and of malice. For malice implies an action of hate but hate comes from the love of something else. I love humanity; therefore, I hate whatever ails her just as much. I watch society behave like a rotting corpse, still animate but not aware of its own decay. The image of her is far from the beauty she once was, and it brings forth disgust and sorrow. She is not yet aware of her own death. Social order keeps moving along, as puppeteers continue to perform a grand act for an audience of the gullible. These invisible strings move the corpse along and make her dance to the tune of whatever whimsical desire sates their greed.

Such claims appear extreme to the dreamer. The dreamer remains in a world of illusion, usually created by his or her own design. By erecting idealistic walls around oneself, the dreamer believes himself to be immune to the petty issues of reality. But... like a dark fog, reality oozes into the mind through the cracks of one’s idealistic walls. A sense of meaningless and despair slowly starts to engulf the mind. People then turn to many things to push the darkness out. Some flood to drugs, others to alcohol. There are those that turn to religion to cleanse the temple of their mind. More continue to turn to violence, failing in a vain attempt to just get some level of control in their lives. Sometimes these techniques work momentarily, and the idealistic dreamer returns to their happy existence. Few choose to wake up to the reality of their situation, because it is an unforgiving reality. Cruel and unrelenting, it seeks to grind you down until you return to nothing from whence you came.

With each invention or study, science consistently shifts its stance on its quest to describe mankind. To lay the foundation of this work on those shifting sands is to give it up to be lost to the sands of time. In note of that, this book takes a different path towards creating its own labels and reaching its own logical conclusions. It is a return to natural philosophy which is the root of modern science before science became separate from philosophy. It may describe things in scientific terms, but only as a matter of convenience in description. Finally speaking, while there are new ideas presented in this text, the book largely consists of ideas that have already been somewhat common within society, common knowledge. This text is the product of arranging key ideas into a single place to then discuss important matters pertaining to humanity and its survival. For the studious reader that has traditionally demanded citation, you will find almost none. For this work is intuitive introspection in nature. It is designed for the reader’s own personal experiences to be his citation. No new knowledge is needed, instead this is a text about viewing one’s own knowledge in a new way. Judge the book unobstructed by any previous references but by the content alone.

    Author Information

This section is something the reader might not be used to and can skip if he does not see its relevance. However, it is included because no text on humanity can be purely objective. Each writer brings to the table their own prior experiences and therefore have different expectations of what is considered objective into their writings. Across cultures and throughout time, societal expectations change. Even from individual to individual, there is a difference in the perception of what normal is. So, this text strays from what the professional norm is and speaks with the understanding that each viewpoint can only be expressed from the original viewer. Rather than attempt to write a gender-neutral commentary, pronouns will mostly consist of using he and the individual will be described as a man from mankind. I have not the eyes of a woman, nor have I walked a mile in her shoes, so for me to speak for her in all circumstances would be inappropriate. If I do discuss the fairer sex, it is in the only way that a man can: through keen observation, much research, and always interviewing a female on her thoughts of my comments. Besides just sex, it is only fair to give a little more background into the author of this text.

I grew up in the United States of America and lived there my whole life. My blood hails from a Sicilian father and a Honduran mother. Culturally and visually, I consider myself part of the white race, primarily European in my decent. For those that care about personality measures, I am ENTP, Pisces, and O+ Blood. While I do not necessarily agree with the idea that blood and birth date should determine personality, I understand that man seeks understanding of himself for a sense of belonging and purpose. My pursuits focus on self-improvement. I exercise to remain healthy and constantly read to grow my mind. These passions burn from the fuel of time wasted on a computer playing games and watching videos when I was much younger. I have a rational mind and grew up a Christian. In many ways, this text was originally a way to bridge these two concepts together.

I first started writing this text originally in a leather journal as a way to vent my frustrations. I watched as event after event unfolded in society and knew something was wrong yet was unable to pinpoint what this was. So, I began to write just to release stress. Eventually, the ideas in the pages started to gravitate towards one another until finally the creation of this new worldview came into fruition. The initial spark that changed this from just a journal to a manuscript came in the form of an intense epiphany, a moment of such sudden and overwhelming realization of a simple fact that my whole body was overwhelmed with euphoria. It lived up to its original religious definition that is the manifestation of a divine being. As I continued writing, I had this ‘feeling’ more times, but the first was the spark. I do not expect the reader to know or understand the feeling, but just to understand that to me this text is the closest thing to being divinely inspired in my life that exists in the real world. All it took was just deep introspection and a sudden realization, so I do not claim to be some God sent prophet. Rather anyone could have a similar experience.

This information may influence the way the text is written, or the way it is read for some readers. When having a dialogue with another individual, the words spoken are just a small part of the overall message. The way someone looks, the way they sound, the manner the information is presented - all these drive different responses. The written word makes it easy to forget the communication aspect. It goes beyond words written on a page. They are thoughts presented from the writer’s mind to the readers.  If the intention of this work is to try and convince a multitude to view the world in a different way, then the writer needs to realize how personal that subject is. That is why this introduction is necessary.

I am just a man who has seen the coming storm but does not know how to stop it. I feel it is important to try to warn society. A watchman that does not warn the people is responsible for the deaths of all that die, but the responsibility no longer falls on the watchman if he warns the people and they fail to respond. It is not my intention to offend people with this view. Ultimately, this work is to create a course of long-term survival for humanity. Sometimes the truth is not easy to hear, but to save lives, it becomes necessary to listen. Therefore, I hope these words reach you, reader, for your sake, not just mine. The storm is coming, whether people choose to see it or not. This is a warning to the truth seeker; Opening your eyes to a new way of viewing the world will permanently change everything, there is no going back...

    I: The Groundwork

Reader, I have a question for you. If you learned that some great tragedy was going to occur, such as the start of a terrible war or the creation of some new disease wiping out billions of people, what would you do? Take a second to consider this.

Would you choose to live life to the fullest, knowing full well the limited time you have left?

Would you start preparing for the tragedy to come by learning combat skills for this great war?

Would you accept your fate and come to terms with it?

Or... would you stand up to fight against destiny itself?

From the fact that you are reading this text, it is obvious I chose the last one. Attempting to write a guide for humanity and expecting change is the closest equivalent there is to fighting destiny.

So, what is this great tragedy? Well, in its current form, I frankly cannot see a long-term future for humanity. Be it 100 years, 1000 years, 10,000 years, or even 100,000 years, at some point humanity will perish. The death need not be a violent and loud one but may instead come through a slow decay of the populous until one day the last human dies alone in some remote location of the world. I shudder at both options. If you have no future, then you are already dead.

There is hope though! Such tragedies might be prevented through a new way of looking at the world, a new way of looking at man. This treatise you are about to read is this new way. It is a guide for humanity to learn itself. We are not born with the intricate knowledge of who we are ingrained in us. Consequently, this means that people may never learn about it while they live their daily lives. Upon the completion of this text, this problem will no longer exist for the reader. Additionally, this guide also attempts to write the information in a way that is applicable for use in one’s daily life.

This text builds upon itself with each lesson utilizing the information of the last. It is highly recommended to read it from start to finish instead of skipping to any particular section that may look interesting. It is only through the lessons gained in earlier sections, that the conclusions made in later sections will make any sense.

Since this text is aimed at slowly developing a new way of looking at the world, the book shall be organized in the theme of building a structure. The groundwork comes first in construction, even before setting the foundation. The goal of the groundwork is to make the reader understand where the writer is coming from. Understanding where the writer is coming from would help you see why he can make the claims he does in the foundation. While for some homes, very little groundwork is needed, other landscapes of the mind may require more work. So, it is still necessary to read such a section even if there is the belief that one is in a position of acceptance already.

The next stage is the foundation. Here, a new way of viewing humanity would be introduced. This section introduces a variety of traits and ideas that will be utilized throughout the rest of the text. The Foundation is just as important as the Groundwork. It is needed before more complex ideas can be introduced or a discussion can be made on existing topics in the world.

The third stage is the framing. In this section, an inspection would be placed on current ideas of humanity, such as law or society. It also will introduce simple ideas that can occur because the understanding of the human model. Finally, the construction section would take what has been learned about humanity as a whole and propose ideas for a society that are in line with humanity’s natural state.

    The Stakes

To write a guide to humanity, one must first discuss what a human is. The human is the foundation upon which all of society is built. Before one can build, he must first learn his limitations. You would not tell a whale to fly or a cow to climb a tree. Likewise, if you set up an idealistic society that tells humans to be something that they are not, it will fail. If the foundation is off, the whole building will tumble in time. Time has a way of wearing down a structure at the weakest point. It is important to establish that a society can maintain itself in an idealistic way only for a short time. Short being an extremely subjective adjective towards the total history of humanity. A short society might be 200 years in length or even more. What sounds like a long time, is meaningless to the countless millennia that lie ahead of us.

For humanity to ever unite and build a society together that would reach the far corners of the universe, it needs to have a perfect foundation that will stand the tests of time. Currently, humanity bickers in ways that will never allow for a permanent solution to its long-term problems. For many people, the question is ‘will society even last the next couple hundred years, or will it destroy itself before then?’. If we are unsure about the next couple hundred years, then the next couple hundred thousand years sounds almost like an absurd fear. There is a resignation in the minds of men that humans will never make it that far. The dream of a human intergalactic civilization has mostly died off and people are becoming painfully aware of this.

In the past, there have been numerous societal collapses such as the Bronze Age collapse and the Roman Empire collapse. The first nearly destroyed all civilization, and the second plunged society back a thousand years in knowledge. There is an important lesson to be learned here and that is ‘what is considered normal can come crashing down like a house of cards in a single moment’. One day you are sitting down enjoying a morning cup of coffee; the next morning you watch as the world is on fire. The irony is that each man has little hope in the future of mankind but still has doubts that he will witness the tragedy, thinking instead that such events will be after he has left the world and are no longer his concern. People never want to consider that tragedy may befall their lives. Few wake up expecting their death, yet every one of us will die someday.

Civilization has come back before from collapse, so it is expected that some people may choose to waive off the concern for the future. If we fall, then we will just get back up, just like we have always done, they might say. I want to dismiss this line of thinking because there is a major difference between modern society and ancient society. Modern society has used too much and climbed too high to fall and still be able to return to its current state. Too many non-renewable resources have already been utilized that it is almost impossible to have the ability to rebuild society to its present state after a big fall. Oil used to be so plentiful that it was found in black puddles bubbling from the very earth; now it must be searched for in far-off hazardous environments such as off-shore rigs, artic pipelines, or scorching deserts, and then distributed around the world through international trade.

Besides resource limitation, humanity has never had the ability to kill off their planet before now; to make the planet uninhabitable, or at the very least, to permanently limit their future potential, are the stakes of a societal collapse. There are extremely dangerous and highly complicated systems that require a high, complex society to maintain. One such system is the nuclear program. One of the most important aspects in modern international politics is the control of nuclear technology. What happens in a ‘nuclear-powered state’ when it internally fractures, what then becomes of such weapons? Another system is every object we put in space. Satellites in space must be continually monitored to ensure there are no destructive collisions amongst space objects. If no watchers exist, then such objects will eventually crash into each other and cause a chain reaction of destruction that may cut across all orbiting materials. Once this occurs, humanity will be bound to Earth for at least a millennium, imprisoned by a metal cage of their own design.

In conclusion, the motivation for writing a guide to humanity is to prevent society from setting itself up for failure. The stakes have never been higher. Failure in societal collapses used to just mean a major setback. Failure now may be a permanent one. Will humanity survive the next thousand years? With something so important, it is far better not to gamble.

    The Concept of Knowledge

As earlier stated, in order to write a guide to humanity, one must first know what a human is. Before this, though, one must go even deeper and know what it even means to know. What is knowledge? Can we know anything for certain? A dream feels real for the dreamer, until they wake up to discover the farce. The scientific community discusses things like reality being a simulation, or the concept of infinite dimensions.  There are so many fascinating ideas that try to explain all the nuances of our reality. For now, these advanced concepts are irrelevant. What is relevant is to understand that, ultimately speaking, humans know nothing.

Such a statement is bold to make and hard to swallow without providing an explanation. A simple thought experiment may bring light. How many numbers are between 1 and 10? Trick question, for there exist an infinite amount just between 1 and 2. E.g. 1.1, 1.11, 1.111, 1.1111, etc. Every human that ever existed could spend their whole lives counting every number between 1 and 2, and they still would have an eternity more to count. Numbers are perhaps a bad example to some because they are logical creations of the mind. However, numbers are the simplest way of explaining much of the far more complicated world. Actual reality is not so easy. If someone states that they have ten bags of grapes, anyone would understand what he is trying to say. However, just like the infinite variations between 1 and 2, there exist near infinite variations between those ten bags of grapes. Each grape, broken down to the genetic level is an entirely unique thing. Infinite variations between random numbers of grapes across ten bags means that it truly is impossible to ultimately know something.

These examples are meant to show the extreme limitations of the human. A flawed being. Infinite information cannot flow into a finite space, especially one as small as a human’s mind. Humans tend to inflate the importance of their brain. They look at the other animals and laugh. Look how much smarter we are!, but when faced with the eternity of all time and space, it is like a speck of dust making fun of a slightly smaller speck of dust. Yet, people are not screaming into the abyss, overwhelmed by eternity. In fact, people have functional lives and rarely think about such concepts unless they are reading a philosophy book perhaps.

So how does the human store an infinite amount of information into a single thought? He does not. Returning to the math example, most can guess what comes next in the following sequence: 1, 2, 3, 4, __. If five was your choice, then you probably have a functional brain. Yet, technically any number could have been there. Reality can be a lot trickier. It is not always as easy to predict. However, this way of viewing the world is still the best tool available for humans. People view the world through patterns. Science shows that, relatively speaking, the world follows natural laws. A child throws a ball up, and gravity brings the ball down. The infinite is condensed down into a series of patterns.

Patterns do not apply to just numbers, but to everything else. For example, when a silhouette appears and it stands upright with two arms, two legs, and a head on top, the first thing that comes to mind is that the silhouette is a human. Humans take complex objects, condense them down into a single pattern or idea, and label it. Another example, if an individual had only ever seen humans his whole life and one day saw a dog for the first time, how would he describe this bizarre creature? Perhaps, he would label it like a baby on four legs, with a long mouth, and hair over its whole body. Only later would such a creature be labeled a dog and recognized by its label. Labels exist, differences exist, because there is just no other way of being able to grasp the infinite effectively. Consider an early example of a robot. Engineers would say that you cannot program in common sense into a robot. A human sees a chair and sits down, a robot needs a few more steps. These early robots must scan the object, compare it to a repertoire of objects in its database, match it with ‘chair’, then perform a programmed sit function if the chair was near them. Each time, a chair must go through the laborious process of being scanned. However, if a tired human sees anything that looks relatively flat and raised, he or she probably would sit on it to rest.

The ideas of chaos and order transcend from this understanding of pattern creation. Order is when the world is in recognizable patterns; everything is understood and relatively predictable. Chaos is when the patterns are yet to be figured out. Here, the world is alien, it is unknown and capable of becoming anything. Therefore, it is terrifying, because the capacity for anything includes the capacity to kill you. It is the difference between seeing a family member in your home versus seeing a stranger in a dark alleyway. One is predictable and safe; the other is unpredictable and potentially dangerous. With one’s own life, it is better to be on the safe side. For instance, some may say, if it is all a state of mind then you should learn to overcome these fears and boldly walk forward. I, however, would not recommend that people ignore their fears and go down dark alleyways alone at night. I would not label these people as bigoted towards alleyway people if they chose to be scared and go the other way. To recommend the ignoring of this fear to the populous would be the same as condemning some to their deaths or to other horrendous acts that men can perform upon the living. The lesson is less about alleyways and more about the body. The body sorts the world into patterns and warns individuals about unknowns that exist outside its safe/familiar boundaries. The bodily process is naturally built in, it’s not one that requires active thought.

So, now to expand the idea a little deeper. An individual interacts with the world by interacting with the pattern idea of the object rather than the actual object itself. For example, an individual starts his car and drives, as he always does. He takes his car in for proper checkups and refuels the vehicle whenever it needs gas. One day, the individual wakes up and performs the same action he does every single morning, only today the car does not start! What did the individual do wrong? Nothing. He simply viewed the car as a pattern: feed it gas, give it checkups, it will work. The car was under no obligation to follow that pattern. Parts wear down, manufacturing can be faulty, driving could be sloppy, the terrain was dangerous, there are innumerable unknown variables that could have combined to cause the car to stop working.

Now to add one final layer. Humans create an all-encompassing framework pattern for all of reality. They interact with the pattern idea of an object in a way that they view the overarching pattern of reality will allow in their minds. It may seem complicated and confusing, but it’s simple once explained. This is what is known as a worldview. Most people adhere to viewing through the world in the modern, scientific worldview. They will attempt to perform actions that they consider scientifically possible. A human will not attempt to jump or fly if they do not think reality will allow them to. Let’s return to the individual with a car. If we changed the individual’s worldview from a scientific one to one where he believed invisible fairies lived in machines, he might view his car very differently. The modern worldview car owner might say he did not perform proper car maintenance. His fairy worldview instead might make him think that the invisible fairies punished him for not cleaning their temple (car) properly. The result is the same, the individual needed to perform more care on his car. Yet, few would argue that they reached the same conclusion the same way.

In summation, reality is near infinite. The brain is finite. It is impossible to fit the infinite in the finite traditionally, so humans view the world in patterns instead. We label these patterns and interact with the world through them. The way we interact with everything is determined by how we sort the infinite information into patterns. The way we choose to sort that information is based off the pattern we look at reality with, known as a worldview. If the concept is hard to grasp, it is probably due to lack of exposure to other worldviews. The modern worldview is that of the scientific method. It claims to be objective and universal, but it is important to understand that no worldview truly is. According to this view, non-tangible objects simply do not exist, and the world is purely materialistic. Someone else may view reality with a worldview in which a non-tangible object might exist, such as karma, ghosts, or God. How people view the world drastically will change how they act in it.

    On Rationality

Rationality, praised by the modern man, is heralded as man’s greatest difference between him and the animals. Basically, it refers to the utilization of the mind to finally conquer the known world. The Enlightenment that came about in the 17 th and 18 th centuries is the reason why ‘reason’ is so emphasized in men.
