Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of satisfaction of Grade 10 High School students
on the selected school facilities of Guimbal National High School. The independent
variables of the study were the students classified as to sex and section, while the level of
satisfaction towards the selected school facilities l serves as the dependent variable.
Descriptive research method was used where the respondents of this investigation were
214 out of 465 Grade 10 Junior High School students of Guimbal National High School
chosen through stratified random sampling. The researcher-made questionnaire was used
to gather data regarding the respondents’ satisfaction on the selected school facilities of
Guimbal National High School namely: school library, school clinic, ICT, and school
canteen. Percentage, weighted mean, frequency count, standard deviation and t-Test for
two independent samples and ANOVA, all set at 0.05 alpha level of significance level
were used to interpret and analyze the data via Statistical Package for Social Sciences.
Results found that the students’ level of satisfaction had a “Moderately Satisfactory”
rating on the selected school facilities of Guimbal National High School taken as an
entire group. When classified according to sex, the findings found that a “Dissatisfactory”
rating on the school library and ICT room; a “Moderately Satisfactory” rating on the
school canteen and a “Satisfactory” rating was given by the male student-respondents.
On the other hand, a female student-respondents rated the school clinic as a
“Satisfactory”, the school library and the school canteen as a “Moderately Satisfactory”
and the ICT as a “Dissatisfactory”. When the respondents were classified according to
section, a student-respondents coming from the STEM, ABM and the TVL-Hairdressing
found that the school library, the ICT and the school canteen as a “Moderately
Satisfactory”, while the school clinic as a “Satisfactory”. In terms of the GAS and the
TVL-Caregiving, perceived the level of satisfaction on the selected school facilities such
as school library and ICT as a “Dissatisfactory”, the school canteen as “Moderately
Satisfactory” and the school clinic as a “Satisfactory”. As of the HUMSS
student-respondents found that the school library and the ICT were “Dissatisfactory”, the
school canteen were “Moderately Satisfactory” and the school were “Satisfactory”.
When it comes to TVL-ICT, the findings found that the the ICT was “Dissatisfactory”,
the school library and the school canteen were “Moderately Satisfactory” and the school

clinic was “Satisfactory”. When the student-respondents grouped according to sex, a

t-Test result showed that there were no significant differences on the level of satisfaction
on the selected school facilities. On the other hand, a high significant difference found in
the level of satisfaction on the selected school facilities when categorized according to
strand/specialization.
