Terms and Conditions of Warranty

1. The Warranty will be applicable only for the specified period indicated above,
irrespective of whether the Air/Water Source Heat Pump has been or has not been in
use for any reason whatsoever, including any break – downs, time taken for repairs /
replacements and transit time etc. The warranty will automatically expire/terminate on
completion of the period indicated above and no notice whatsoever will be given to this
effect.
2. All parts failing due to Manufacturing defect only will be repaired / replaced within the
guarantee period by autorised dealers
3. Repairs carried out due to damage of the heating coil rising out of improper flow of
water / liquid and subsequent damage to other components of the refrigeration system,
including the compressor will be done on a chargeable basis only.
4. During the period of warranty, it will be obligatory on the part of customer that the
Heat Pump is serviced / repaired / attended to / installed / reinstalled only by the
authorized dealer and in case the unit is attended to by any other agency, the
warranty stands automatically terminated.
5. All expenses incurred in collecting the unit or parts thereof from the service station as
well as expenses incurred in connection with deputing of service personnel /
technicians towards to & fro travel, conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne
by the customer and payable in advance.
6. The guarantee extended here in is in lieu of all implied condition and warranties under
the law and is confined to the repair or replacement of defective parts and does not
cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss arising from such defects,
Furthermore, the guarantee in no case shall extend to the payment of any monetary
consideration what so ever, or the replacement or return of the Heat Pump as whole.
It is obligatory on the part of the customer that in case there is any change in the
location of the unit and / or change in the ownership he should immediately intimate in
writing to Orb Energy or its servicing Authorized Dealer, at least a week before such
change takes place. In such case, the warranty period will be reckoned on prorate
basis for the new location / ownership from the date of such changes as the case may
be. Failure to do so will totally absolve Orb Energy or its Authorized Dealers of the
obligation under this warranty.
7. Further, for continuation of this warranty at the new location and / or new ownership,
fresh installation charges and inspection fee for the units as well as the coast of
rectification of any damage in transit due to mishandling shall be added to the
customers account and shall be paid in advance. In case for any reason, the customer
/ owner does not want to carry out the repairs after the inspection of the unit, the
inspection fees will not be recoverable.
8. The decision of Orb Energy / Authorized Dealer will be final as to whether to effect
the repair or replace parts at the new site / location.
 9. Any loss of refrigerant due to sabotage, man-handling, wrong-installation by the user
or damage caused due to accidents, fires, floods, earthquakes etc., or any corrosive
action etc is not covered under warranty for free of cost replenishment of refrigerant
or pipes, fittings & valves.
10. Consumables like refrigerant, oil, drier, etc do not come under warranty for free
replacement.
11. The Warranty will become null & void:
i) If the electrical power supply and voltage are not within the stipulated norms.
ii) If there is consistent power cut / restrictions, load-shedding etc leading to erratic
power supply.
iii) if the Air/ Water Source Heat Pump is improperly installed or repaired by any
other source / agency other than the Authorized Dealers of Orb Energy Any damage
is caused during transshipment by accident, fire, flood, abuse or misuse.
iv) If the serial numbers if the unit and / or the compressor are removed, altered,
defaced or tampered:
v) If accessories like proper electrical connections are not provided as
recommended by or their Authorized Dealer.
vi) If the unit is installed in an environment of corrosive / polluted atmosphere-shaded
area or Near an external heat source.
12. No warranty will be extended for electrical items other than Compressor and Fan
Motor.
