Physical activity implemented by DOH and WHO – Go4health, E-di Exercise, Mag-HL tayo

Communicable disease – Heart disease, Vascular disease, Cancer

Physical Activity - involves any bodily movement caused by muscular contractions that result in the expenditure of
energy.
Muscular Strength - is the ability of the muscle to generate the greatest force.
Flexibility - is the ability to move a joint without a pain over its entire range of motion.
Aerobic Exercise - It involves large muscle groups that perform rhythmic and continuous movement for a prolonged
period of time in order to improve aerobic capacity.
Body Composition - It refers to the total make-up of the body using the concept of two component model.
Exercise - It refers to a planned program of physical activities usually designed to improve physical fitness with the
purpose of increasing physical fitness level.
Stretching Exercise - type of exercise that increases the elasticity of muscles and tendons surrounding the joint in order
to improve flexibility.
Physical Fitness - refers to a condition that allows the body to effectively cope with the demands of daily activities and
still has the energy to enjoy other active leisure activities.
Aerobic Capacity - is the ability of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels to supply oxygen and nutrients to the working
muscles efficiently in order to sustain prolonged rhythmical exercises.
Resistance Exercise - type of exercise that requires the muscle to contract against an external load in order to improve
muscular strength, muscular endurance, and bone strength.
Muscular endurance - is the ability of the muscle to resist fatigue when performing multiple repetitions of a sub maximal
load.
Aerobic Exercises – running, swimming, dancing
Resistance Exercise – Highkick, Basic push ups, lunges
Stretching exercise – triceps curl, kickboxing, knee to chest, head bend

Aerobic exercise can enhance capillary network toward the working muscles. It also improve blood flow as well as
regulates temperature during exercise.

Resistance exercise can increase the muscle its ability to generate force or strength. It is also commonly found in the
nervous and musculoskeletal system.

Stretching exercise is important in improving range motion around the joints and help individuals in performing daily
task efficiently.

The changes or adaptation will occur as a result of aerobic exercise will stimulate changes in the various organs and
tissue of the body.
