LABORATORY EXERCISES
The following section provides lab exercises to reinforce the course presentation. The section provides directions to set up,
facilitate and assist during the student lab exercises. Some lab exercises are paper and pencil (work sheets) while other labs are
"hands on" labs. The actual student lab sheets along with accompanying materials are located in the Student book handout at
the beginning of each lab, have all students review the lab description to be sure the student understands what to do.
NOTE:Discuss safety procedures with the students for each shop lab exercise (i.e. safety glasses, clothing).
Lab A : Locate and Identify the major components of Hydraulic and Electronic Control Systems 60 min
and Monitor Panel.
Lab C: Test and adjust the Main Hydraulic Pumps De stroking Pressure - Reference Point (324D) 60 min
Use Lab C work sheet - pages 8
Lab D: Test and adjust the Main Hydraulic Pumps De stroking Pressure - Reference Point (330D) 60 min
Use Lab D work sheet - pages 9
NOTE : Total Lab Time is based on the number of students and the machine
Lab F : Test and Adjust Boom Swing Priority Pressure Reducing Valves
Use Lab F work sheets - pages 11/12 30 min
Lab G : Test and Adjust Stick out and Bucket close Pressure Reducing Valves
Use Lab G work sheet - pages 13 30 min
Lab H : Display and Record Monitor Main Menu and Sub menus
Use Lab H work sheet - page 14 45 min
NOTE : Total Lab Time is based on the number of students and the machine
Lab Q : Explain and demonstrate how to configure the settings of a specific required Tool 30 min
Use Lab Q work sheet - page 23
Lab R : Explain and demonstrate how to configure the settings of a specific required Tool with 30 min
multiple operation functions
Use Lab Q work sheet - page 24
NOTE : Total Lab Time is based on the number of students and the machine
