Content
1. What is the meaning of excretion system?
Excretion system is the process of removing wastes and excess water from the body.
It is one of the major ways the body maintains homeostasis. Although the kidneys are the
main organs of excretion, several other organs also excrete wastes. They include the large
intestine, liver, skin, and lungs. All of these organs of excretion, along with the kidneys,
make up the excretory system. This lesson focuses on the role of the kidneys in excretion.
Kidneys
Kidneys eliminate waste in form liquid is urine.
Creating the urine of kidneys from blood flow to the kidneys and 2 part, above
1,200 L / Minutes, renal function will be absorbed substances. It is beneficial to return
to the body and move unwanted substances into the urine. The urine from the catheter
will flow into the kidney and kidney. To be kept in the bladder and expelled from the
body is called Urinalysis. The bladder can hold up to about 250 cubic centimeters of
urine. When the bladder is full, the abdominal pain can be felt in one day. We can
urinate up to 1,000 to 1,500 cubic centimeters or depending on the amount of water in
the body.
Bladder
Water 92 95
Protein 7 0
Glucose 0.1 0
Urea 0.03 2
Skin
Skin eliminate waste in form liquid is sweat.
Sweat is excreted in various parts of the body, such as the palm under the
armpits in one day, the body can sweat about 500 - 1,000 cubic centimeters. If the
day is hot or exercise, the body sweats up to 2,000 cubic centimeters. Sweat
consists of water and minerals, it is salty and the time when the water evaporates,
leaving a scaly salt on the skin, making it feels sticky.
Lung
Lung eliminate waste in form liquid is carbon dioxide.
Lung acts as a gas exchange. This will happen at the lung air sac.
Carbon 0.04% 4%
dioxide
Nitrogen 79% 79%
Carbon dioxide and water vapor are the waste products that break down nutrients to
form cellular energy. The so-called breathing process.
Large intestine
Large intestine eliminate waste in form liquid is excreted.
The food goes into the stomach and intestinal digestion process. It was sent to
the colon. At all times, the passage of food will absorb water and nutrients back into the
body. The absorption will occur most at the colon. The remaining residue is excreted in the
anus.
