SUBJECT: EXTENDED WARRANTY TERMS FOR DRIVE SHAFT SEAL

LEAKAGE ON DB4 EQUIPPED SISU DIESEL ENGINE
APPLICATIONS (PRIOR TO PUMP SERIAL NO. 10684489)

A small number Sisu Diesel engine applications, equipped with DB4 pump models,
may experience fuel leakage at the weep hole in the pump housing. Stanadyne has
determined that some drive shaft seals (P/N 30804) installed during production may
move within the housing bore causing fuel leakage at the weep hole. However, drive
shaft seals manually installed during field repairs do have adequate seal retention
to prevent seal movement within the housing bore.

Warranty
Stanadyne has agreed to extend warranty coverage for drive shaft seal leakage on
Sisu Diesel engine applications for a period of twenty four (24) months for both
parts and labor on DB4 model pumps prior to serial number 10684489. This
deviates from the current warranty policy for products sold to Sisu Diesel which
covers parts only for products that are within the 13-18 month period. Refer to
Section 4.3.20 of your 99666 Service Policies and Procedures Manual for specific
conditions of warranty.
