Abstract
The main objective of our project is to
install a new LED lighting system for
McDonald´s Cholula parking since the
current system uses obsolete lamps
and a renovation is necessary.
Through this renovation, it will be
possible to help reduce the
consumption of electrical energy
generated by mercury vapor lamps,
as well as the cost of such
consumption.
The pollutant emissions of these
lamps will also be reduced because
their waste is dangerous for the
environment.
Description
Innovation
Our project is innovative as it was
designed as an alternative that will
reduce the energy consumption of the
parking area by changing its mercury
vapor lamps with LED lamps which
have been characterized as
renewable products, which benefit the
environment and prevent accidents.
The importance of this project is that
by implementing new products that
benefit the environment and reduce
costs, this ensures that the company
takes more innovation alternatives not
only in one area but in all the
branches it manages.

Advantages
The advantages of our project are as
follows:
• There won't be changed in the
electrical installations.
• The investment will be recovered
in little time.
• It will reduce the cost by 75%
• The news lamps have more life
and greater efficiency.
• Complies with the norms
established in NOM-001 SEDE 2012.
• The lamp doesn’t pollute the
environment during and after its
useful life.
Disadvantages
• We do not have the necessary
equipment to replace the lamps.
• Lamps are not available in Mexico.
Results
By suggesting how to solve the
problem, the innovation of parking
lighting, which is through gas lamps
and led lamps, the main objective was
to demonstrate that by making this
change your consumption in this area
would decrease. For this, each lamp
was compared with the help of certain
calculations; the superiority of the
LED has been demonstrated since it
generates a lower consumption of
electricity and if its useful life is
greater than gas lamps. When we
made the calculations, the expected
result was a surprise since it was not
expected that the benefits that LED
lamps to have are much higher than
their predecessors, so more of them
were investigated to solve doubts
obtaining a very different result than
expected.

Conclusion
It is expected that this project will be
implemented in other branches; as
well as being innovative, it benefits
the company and helps us to relate to
these issues. An improvement could
be implemented to the project would
be the use of timers and programs
that help a good control when the
lamps are turned on so that the
manual operation is no longer
performed and with this failures are
detected in order to be repaired so
that it can work in a way efficient.
