CULTURAL IDENTIFICATION

- It is the person’s characteristic or identity that gives us clue on where does he or she
belongs. This identification includes gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation,
language, mental or physical ability and etc.

Various Cultural Identity that affect people from communicating

Gender

- It is either of the two sexes (Male or Female)


- It is referred to social and cultural difference rather than biological ones

WOMEN

- Speaks in polite way


- They are more talkative
- More focused on keeping the connections or contact and also with sharing
opinions with whom they are talking to z

Men

- Tends to speak as directly and briefly as possible to avoid misunderstanding


- Speaks more confidently to establish leadership and to impress leadership

Socioeconomic Status (SES)
-It is a combination of sociological and economic which studies human behavioral
relationship within individuals or family economic and social position in order to society.
It is based on income, education and occupation in short to have stable life or status.

Example: Arrange marriage it is a traditional or culture to other countries such as China


and Japan etc. That parents choose their son/daughter who they become partner in life.

LANGUAGE
- It is a particular language that points out the culture of one social group. The way
how they can communicate to other social group can identify there own culture.

Mental/Physical ability

● The mental ability It is on how your brain command your physical ability to react.

Race
- is how other people perceive someone and how they genetically and refers someone's
ancestry through distinctive physical characteristics.
-There's a belief that there are different races can lead to racism which potentially leads
to inequality among different groups of people.

For example: Before ,there's a racism between white and black american.

Sexual Orientation
-focuses on someone that going through a physical, romantic, emotional and sexual
interest toward members of the same, opposite or both sexes. It covers the range of
human sexuality from heterosexual, gay, lesbian and bisexual.

•Heterosexual - Refers to someone who have the quality or characteristics of being


romantically attracted towards people of the opposite sex.
•Lesbian - Common and most acceptable term for homosexual.
•Gay - Common and preferred term for male homosexual.
•Transgender - Refers to someone whose gender identity is not expected based on
sex or gender assigned at birth.
