Guidelines to fill Application Form


 Only Indian Nationals can apply. Applications of other than Indian Nationals will be summarily
rejected.

 Eligibility of the candidate will be verified as per advertisement published in Employment


News. Applicants are instructed to read carefully the relevant advertisement published in the
Employment News newspaper before filling up the application form at rac.gov.in and submit
the application form well in advance without waiting for the closing date & time. Applications
received through https://rac.gov.in any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily
rejected.

 Log on to https://rac.gov.in to fill the online application form. Application form will not work in
Internet Explorer web browser. Recommended web browsers are Mozilla Firefox ver. 55 and
Google Chrome ver. 55 or higher. The first step of online application form submission is
"Registration". It is mandatory to register before filling the application form. Candidates may
log in any time till the closing date & time of advertisement to complete the online application
form submission process. Password can be reset through "Forgot Password" link available
on Login page.

 Warning - Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the
candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the
suitability for the position to which they are applying. Applicants are advised to fill in all their
particulars in the online application carefully as submission of wrong or incomplete information
will lead to rejection through computer based automatic shortlisting. Canvassing in any form
and furnishing false or wrong information during any stage of recruitment and selection
process will lead to cancellation of candidature and such candidates may be debarred either
permanently or for a specified period by DRDO for future selections.

 Date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the closing date
for submission of online application.

 Online application form is spread over following sections viz. Step 1 - Biodata, Step 2 -
Photograph & Documents, Step 3 - Fee Payment, Step 4 - Lock & Finalize. Each section will

have “Save” button for saving the data given in that section. Application form can be filled in
multi-session. It is recommended to save the filled information by clicking “Save” button before
closing the browser. Section heading will display Green underline once it is completely filled
and saved whereas incomplete sections shall remain marked with Red underline.

 UR / OBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable non-transferable application fee of


Rs.100/- (Rs. One Hundred only) payable online only. However, application fee is not
applicable for SC/ ST/ DIVYANG (PwD) and Women candidates.

 Candidate may scan the relevant certificate(s) and convert them into separate PDF, jpeg or
jpg files where size of individual file should not exceed 500 Kb. The PDF so created must not
be password protected. Strict document type checking is implemented for uploading
documents which means that if a document is not conforming to it’s standard MIME type then
it won’t be accepted and you need to convert document conforming it’s mime type. This
means that a pdf document will not upload if it is not matching standard pdf MIME type even if
the document extension is pdf. Uploaded photograph must be clearly identifiable / visible,
otherwise the application of the candidate is liable to be rejected and no representation from
the candidate will be entertained. To upload your recent passport size photograph, click on
Browse button. The candidate should scan his photograph in .JPG format. Scanned image of
photograph in .JPG format, should not exceed 30 KB in size, 140 pixels in height and 110
pixels in width.

 Application Fee payment or document uploading can be done till closing date & time of the
advertisement only.

 On clicking “Submit & Lock” button the online application will get locked and submitted. Only
locked applications will be deemed complete applications and shall be considered for further
processing. Incomplete applications, which are not locked by candidates, or duplicate
applications and applications where scanned copies of certificates are not uploaded or where
uploaded documents are not legible, are liable to get rejected during computerized shortlisting
and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. Candidates are advised to check
that uploaded photograph is clearly visible/ identifiable and that all documents have
been successfully uploaded and are legible.

 Candidate can unlock application to make corrections till closing date & time of advertisement
only. However, application must be locked again to be considered for screening. No request
with respect to the change in any data submitted by the candidates will be entertained once
the closing date of online submission is over.

 Candidates desirous of applying for more than one post should submit separate online
application form for each post accompanied by separate documents / photograph, as
applicable, and each application should be complete in all respects.

 Candidates can view submitted (locked) and incomplete applications by clicking “My
Applications” link from the navigation menu of the online application form and candidates

can edit their incomplete applications up to closing date & time of the advertisement. If a
candidate applies for more than one post, he/ she can view and take print out of all submitted
applications from here.

 Candidate shall receive a copy of the submitted application on registered e-mail id (as
mentioned at the time of registration) and SMS on their registered mobile number (as
mentioned at the time of registration) after successfully submitting (locking) online application.

 Candidates are not required to send print out of submitted application form by post.
However, candidates working in Govt. service or in Govt. owned organisations, should also
submit their applications online directly to the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC).
Such candidates, if in regular service whether in permanent or temporary capacity, are
required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA)/
Competent Authority as per the proforma available at RAC website at the time of interview. If
Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA)/ Competent Authority considers withholding the NOC, the
candidate should inform RAC within 30 days of the closing date at the following Address:

Guidelines for Application Fee Payment


 Do not click back or refresh button of your browser during fee payment process. The
process of online fee payment may take several minutes and you are requested to be
patient.

 Do not access other websites during fee payment process.

 In case of unsuccessful fee payment, you may try again, or, contact the debit card/ credit
card/ bank account service provider.

 In case the application fee amount is debited from your account and is not updated in the
Fee Payment step then you are requested to try again. Excess payments, if any, shall be
automatically refunded back.

 Refund is an automated process. As soon a transaction is unsuccessful from the service


provider end for whatever reasons, the amount gets automatically refunded. Banks usually
take 5/7 working days to refund the amount into your account.
