How do we prepare for our professional learning? Knowledge begins with the fear of God. In
awesome reverence, we look to God as our source of wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7– The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and
instruction.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the Great Educator, the Teacher of teachers.

There is no amount of knowledge we can accumulate

that can compare with Yours. Let us look to You first
for all we learn in awe and wonder. Your Word teaches
us that the fear of You is the beginning of knowledge.
Only fools despise wisdom and instruction. Help us to
be “learn-it-alls” instead of know-it-alls. Please grant
us the wisdom to seek Your way before we make our

own decisions in school so that we may bless our

students. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in

the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing
made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the
