And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only
Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about Him, and cried out, “This
was He of Whom I said, “He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.”)
For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through
Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, the only God, Who
is at the Father’s side,” He has made Him known.

There’s a Word for that! The Word of God

Light is so important in school. Districts spend a great deal of money adding the best lighting for

learning. Just as we need light in our schools to learn, we need the light of the Word in our lives to
be a more effective educator no matter what our position: teacher, administrator,
paraprofessional, substitute or parent.

Psalm 119:105 – Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for our school. Thank your for the leaders
who have taken the time to make it light for the
children. Help us Lord to represent you well as a
witness to Your light. Thank you for David reminding us
that Your Word is a lamp unto our feet today and a

light unto our path. Please help us to be a light that

shines brightly for You today. We ask in the bright and
beautiful name of Jesus. Amen.

1st step prayer – As you walk from your car/vehicle in the parking lot to the door of your school,
