According to MDOC, between 2014 and 2015, sentences increased in Mississippi for both property crimes and violent crimes. Property crimes rose on average from 45.3 months to 49.6 months. Violent crimes rose from 144.9 months to 170.3 months. My question is, what is the average sentence for property crimes these days, and what is the average sentence for violent crimes these days?
