The teacher will throw close-ended questions and the students will answer in short way possible through
recitation/chorus.
1. What is sound wave?
2. How is sound produce?
C. Motivation Teacher will post a picture of an animal and a human. The teacher will let the student to produce the
sound of animal and the human.

D. Lesson Proper
Activity Do the activity on transmitting sound, Science Learner’s Module pp. 72-73
Analysis 1. What happens to the other colored beads when the blue bead is taped?
2. Are there occasion when the beads converge then expand?
3. Are there converging and expanding parts of the slinky?

ABSTRACTION The material through which sound travel is known as medium. The medium can be solid, liquid or gas.
Sound needs medium to travel. It cannot travel through vacuum.
ASSESSMENT Directions: Read and answer each questions carefully. Write your answer on ¼ sheet of paper.

D. A wave that does not transmit energy
2. When sound travel through air, the air particles ____________________.
A. Vibrate along the direction of wave propagation
B. Vibrate but not in any fixed direction
C. Vibrate perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation
D. Do not vibrate
3. Sound is produced due to ____________.
