Certification Course for

Green Mark Managers (GMM)


INTRODUCTION
Participants of the Certification Course for Green Mark Manager will gain an in-depth understanding
of BCA’s environmental sustainability legislative framework, underlying performance standards
and BCA Green Mark assessment systems – Green Mark for Non-Residential Buildings: 2015
(GM NRB: 2015) and Green Mark for Residential Buildings: 2016 (GM RB: 2016). Focus will be
placed on green building design guidelines and technologies, where the participants will learn
the methods of identifying, evaluating and selecting cost effective solutions towards a more
holistic green building performance. On top of that, the course will also touch on the integration of
passive and active building design, as well as cooperation between disciplines in the design stage
so as to optimise building design. It aims to practically empower industry professionals to take
leadership in competently guiding projects to excel in the Green Mark criteria, and ultimately push
the frontiers for greener buildings.

ASSESSMENT AND AWARD (Course code: 71925)
This course involves assessment. A Certificate of Successful Completion (CSC) for the course
will be issued to participants who:
i. Achieve at least 75% class attendance; and
ii. Pass MCQ test, project and peer evaluation of the course.
