DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS

Siomai Co. is a sole proprietorship operating under Angela Maralit. It is located in

Lipa City, Batangas and will begin the operation in April 2019.

Siomai Co. aims to offer its products at a competitive price to meet the demand of the

middle to higher – income local area resident. The primary motivation of the business is

to be approachable. We are driven to satisfy both the taste buds and pockets of the

Modern Pinoy. We will market mostly to the small business operator, stall owners,

students near the area, mall (crews, operations, security) and everyone who can afford

the price range of the product.

A SHORT EXPLANATION OF THE INDUSTRY

The sole proprietorship is the simplest business form under which one can

operate a business. The sole proprietorship is not a legal entity. It simply refers to a

person who owns the business and is personally responsible for its debts. A sole

proprietorship can operate under the name of its owner or it can do business under a

fictitious name, such as Nancy's Nail Salon. The fictitious name is simply a trade name--

it does not create a legal entity separate from the sole proprietor owner.

The sole proprietorship is a popular business form due to its simplicity, ease of

setup, and nominal cost. A sole proprietor need only register his or her name and

secure local licenses, and the sole proprietor is ready for business. A distinct

disadvantage, however, is that the owner of a sole proprietorship remains personally


liable for all the business's debts. So, if a sole proprietor business runs into financial

trouble, creditors can bring lawsuits against the business owner. If such suits are

successful, the owner will have to pay the business debts with his or her own money.

Our generation is very different unlike before in terms of living and also in taste of

food. We are driven to satisfy both the taste buds and pockets of the Modern Pinoy.

Siomai Co. will have a unique recipe of Siomai in Lipa City. We will accomplish this by

having a good and healthy food for our customers. Our product will truly different from the

other food chart and we will ensure the that our costumers will surely enjoy and

entertained by having a nice and good employee. Our company will be developed and

innovate some of product and create our own recipe to attract our customers we will level

up our product and our customers will not depend on the price alone to try our product.

eat out. The product may be common to hear, but for but its unique flavor creates

consciousness to the market. The word-of-mouth of its customers is the hope that eager

the business or industry to expand in the near future.

The people of City of Lipa, especially the students, young, adults and employees

are the primary target of the planned business for they are great potential buyers of the

Siomawrap. The target markets were chosen because of their consumer buying

Offering a unique kind of siomai may help the proponents increase their sales. For

the proponents to achieve it, they should maintain a good sales strategy through offering
a good quality of product to be produced. They will keep the exceptional service, its

affordability, and enhancing the product packaging.

Planning out a great sale strategy will help to promote and increase the sales in the

future. Improving the delivering and packaging to make it more attractive to the customers

will help our sales a lot.

PROMOTION STRATEGY

The proponents will also use sales promotions and public relation to make attachment

between the business and the target market. This will ensure the possibility that the

business will gain profit. Siomawrap will be promoted in many ways, namely, the

advertising strategy, sales promotion, public relations, and taste for products ensuring the

capability that the business will be well known in the market and achieve its business

goals. In the first day of its operation, freebies and discount coupons shall be given to

customers that will dine-in or take-out in the restaurants. A free taste of Siomawrap can

encourage future buyers to purchase one. Future wholesalers and resellers for the

product, such as supermarkets by displaying a kiosk for Siomawrap..
