1.PLOT- It Is the author’s arrangement of events in the story. It has a beginning, middle and a end.

It is the arrangements of the story or sequence of the story. You cannot read a story if it is not written on a
sequence or arrangement form.
2.SETTING – This is where you create and sustain a sharp sense of time and place of your story.

4.CONFLICT – this is where you can see the struggles or problem of the story.

This is where you can read the problem of the story on why or what happen to the characters.
5. CHARACTERS – A person , animal, or an imaginary creatures that gives life to the story.

They are the person who casts the story it is either antagonist or the protagonist.
6.POINT OF VIEW (POV) – This is the perception of the author in the story.
DISCUSSION:
It is the view of the author in story so it means opinions or the authors says in his/her story. It can be first
person, second person or third person point of view.
It has n regular rhythm or meter. They do not follow a proper rhyme scheme. This type of poem do not have
any set of rules and based on normal pauses.

A main idea on underlying a meaning of literary work which maybe stated indirectly.The two types of themes
are major and minor themes. The Major themes is an idea that a writer repeats in his literary work,makng it the
most significant idea in the work. While the minor themes refers to an idea that appears in a work briefly,giving
way to another minor themes.
Example:
The whole narrative revolves around the major theme that is matrimony. While the minor themes are love,
friendship and affection.
TONE

GENRE
A particular type of literature, painting, music, film or other art form which people consider as a class because it
has special characteristics.
DISCUSSION:
Which means there are many types of Genre in literature it includes the poetry that is the first major literary
genre because it shares specific characteristics. Genre talks about art, literature and music. And it has many
types it can be lyric, epic poems,narrative,romantic and also dramatic.
HAIKU
A Japanese poem that has seventeen syllables that consist of three lines that does not rhyme. It consist of 5-7-
5 pattern.
DISCUSSION:
Haiku is from the country of Japan that consist of 5-7-5 pattern. It has a limit when it comes to the syllables.
Most haiku poems are from the observation of the writers in their surroundings such as nature,love,friendship
or even animals.,etc.And also unlike other poems it has no title and it is a metaphor type of figurative language.
Example:
TANAGA
It is a short poem having four lines and have a 7 syllables per line
DISCUSSION:
Like haiku tanaga has no titles and they are using metaphors in writing a poem. It is a filipino poem with the
same rhyme at the end of each line within the AABB rhyme scheme/pattern.

Catitibay ca tulos
sa iyo’y pupulupot
DIONA
A Pre-Hispanic rhyming poem with seven syllables in each line expressing a compete thought.

As we can see in each line there is 7 syllable in Diona and similar to haiku that has only three lines.
