STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

With every aspect of society including people and their respective properties being
encapsulated and governed by law, I as a law student have an esteem inquisitiveness to
explore the dynamism and functioning of law. The Parliament, inter alia The Lok Sabha
being the pioneer and fabricator of all the legislations in this country, it will be a viable
opportunity for me as a law student to perceive and learn empirical methods of research,
drafting of a statute and thereafter enactment of the same. The internship will invariably
enhance my understanding over objectivity, functioning, and rationale of a legislation and
in the meanwhile, it will also take me through unprecedented nuances, turbulences and
problems that flows through the road towards making of a law.

As far as my goal is concerned, I endeavour to be a judge and before that I am deeply instilled
with an incessant sense of grasping and learning more about my profession each day.
Understanding of statutes and thereafter the entire law-making process form worthwhile
parts of my profession, be it a judge or a legal practitioner. Henceforth, this internship will
provide me an empirical platform in my learning process and future endeavours, both as a
judge and as a legal practitioner.

 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE FOR LEGISLATIVE DRAFTING

Legislation and its drafting are an alienable part of law and legal study. Having said that,
the true functioning and dynamism of law can only be understood by indulging into the
essence of a legislation, be it voluntary or inevitable. Thus, I, as a law student, have a venerate
interest in understanding the legislations/statutes and try to understand the manner in which
it endeavours to fulfill the interest of the people and the society. Probing deeper into the
understanding of the legislations, its drafting has always kept me captivating over the fact as
to how a balance is created between the intrusive hurdles and the interests of the society or
a necessity or a particular issue. This internship will invariably enhance my understanding
over objectivity, functioning, and rationale of a legislation and in the meanwhile, it will also
take me through unprecedented nuances, turbulences and problems that flows through the
road towards making of a law.

Henceforth, understanding of statutes and thereafter the entire law-making process form
worthwhile parts of my profession, be it a student, judge or a legal practitioner. Henceforth,
this internship will provide me an empirical platform in my learning process and future
endeavours, both as a judge and as a legal practitioner.
