SUGGESTIONS
Preliminaries
You should use the term “school climate” in your title since it’s the topic of your
study; but the word ‘climate' might confuse the readers. You can use another term that is
not vague.
Chapter 1
Every start of a chapter should have hidden page number. Avoid using words or
phrases that are used in creative writing. Cite sources in the introduction; use index
citation. Changes should be made to the research problems. How can you measure the
‘level’ of perceptions? Provide an explanation why there’s a reason to compare the
perceptions of male and female students. Also, state how you chose your respondents and
why. Remove the summary per chapter.
Chapter 2
The definition of terms should be placed in before Chapter 3 Define each terms
conceptually and operationally. Do not use subtitles and superscripts.
Chapter 3
The title of this chapter should be “Research Design and Methodology”.
Acknowledge the Slovin’s formula. Update the data regarding the respondents. The
sample size is too big. Why not make your respondents Grade 12 students since they are
the one who have stayed in this school longer than the Grade 11 students? Change
confusing terms and remove the unnecessary details. Use stratified sampling. Finalize
your research questionnaire. 40 minutes is too long. Try to make your own questionnaire.
This survey will ask about your life as a student in this school. Please answer all the items honestly; your
response is as important as your participation. This survey is voluntary, and all your responses are completely
anonymous but you may write your name at the available space in this paper if desired. Thank you!
