Descriptions for Anti-Human Trafficking Interns

Tigerlili Resources, Inc. is a Missouri incorporated, federally registered 501c3 non-profit ministry. The mission is to
reach woman and teenagers who are sexually exploited, prostituted or trafficked, offer them a safe escape and guide
them to whole healing in Jesus Christ, while disrupting the demand of their purchase by reaching the hearts of men.

Seeing the oppressed set free. Seeing justice for the wicked. Bringing hope to the lost and brokenhearted.

Grant Research & Writing Responsibilities


The Grant Research & Writer is an intern position that reports directly to the Grant Committee Chair and Executive
Director. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing and coordinating the grant application process;
management of proposals and maintaining a donor database.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:


❖ Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents.
❖ Responsible for researching, collecting data, and the writing of each grant.
❖ Work with Grant Committee Chair and Executive Director to compile financials and data.
❖ Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials.
❖ Develops and maintains a proposal calendar,
❖ Coordinate and follow-ups on the progress of submitted proposals
❖ Develop an annual grants strategy
❖ Conduct prospect research to identify, cultivate and solicit new grants
❖ Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:
❖ Collegiate level experience in online data research and basic knowledge of grant writing.
❖ Demonstrated ability to write successful reports or narratives (include 2-3 examples of personal reports or
projects)
❖ Knowledge of general “admin/office practices”: uploading docs, scanning, attaching files, online filing etc.
❖ Basic knowledge of St. Louis and surrounding area foundations and corporations.
❖ Creativity & savviness in online research – think outside of the box.
❖ Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven
❖ Clear, precise and compelling writing skills
❖ Able to effectively communicate – written and verbal

❖ Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy in a “time is of the
essence” attitude
❖ Ability to work with minimal supervision
❖ High proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google Suite
specifically Google Docs and Google Sheets.
❖ Flexibility/motivated team player
❖ Ability to travel locally.

Commitment:
The Grant Research & Writer position will commit to a minimum of 5 hours/week per semester (avg 15 weeks) = min
of 75 hours. This intern position can be done remotely with weekly meetings and reviews conducted at an agreed
upon location with the Intern, Grant Committee Chair &/or Executive Director. Results to be shared via Google Docs
& Google Sheets.
