Abstract
Background: Anxiety of pregnant women is the reaction of pregnant women to changes
in themselves and their environment which brings feelings of unhappiness caused by
suspicion of danger, endangering security, or the life of an individual or social group. In an
era of the increasing use of information and communication technology, there have been
many android-based applications to support pregnancy, one of which is Hallobumil.
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of the hallobumil application
on the anxiety of primigravida pregnant women in the work area of Baregbeg Health Center,
Ciamis Regency.
Research Method: using the Pre-Experiment design with the One-Group approach to the
pretest-posttest design. The total population is 60 people, sampling uses the purposive
sampling method so that the sample is 32 people. Processing data using the Wilcoxon test.
Research Results: there was a decrease in the anxiety level of primigravida pregnant
women after using the Hallobumil application. In the category of moderate anxiety, from 8
(25%) respondents decreased to 0 respondents, in the mild anxiety category of 24 (75%)
respondents decreased to 19 (59.4%) respondents, and there were respondents with
normal categories as many as 18 respondents (40, 6%) after using the Hallobumil
application. The Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0,000.
Discussion: The application of Hallobumil can reduce the anxiety level of primigravida
pregnant women. The guided imagery component contained in the Hallobumil application
includes a timeline of pregnancy monitoring in the form of visualizing fetal growth and a
scenario that guides the imagination of pregnant women as if talking to a fetus. By
imagining a pleasant time and place can produce a positive emotional response as a
distraction from an inconvenience so that anxiety will gradually decrease.
Conclusion: there is the influence of the use of the hallobumil application on the anxiety
of primigravida pregnant women in the working area of Baregbeg Health Center, Ciamis
Regency.
