Hubungan Peran Keluarga terhadap Kemandirian Personal Hygiene Pada

Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus Kelas SD di Sekolah Luar Biasa

Latar Belakang: Peran keluarga adalah tingkah laku spesifik yang diharapkan oleh
seseorang dalam konteks keluarga. Anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah anak yang
mengalami disabilitas atau perbedaan kemampuan yang mengganggu pembelajaran atau
aktivitas-aktivitas lain sehingga memerlukan layanan khusus. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui
Hubungan Peran Keluarga terhadap Kemandirian Personal Hygiene Pada Anak
Berkebutuhan Khusus Kelas SD di Sekolah Luar Biasa Budi Bakti 2 Cipaku 2019.
Metode Penelitian: menggunakan rancangan metode analitik korelasi dengan
pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah semua
orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus (tuna laras, tuna grahita, tuna netra dan
autisme), pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode total sampling sehingga didapatkan
sampel sebanyak 31 orang. Pengolahahn data menggunakan uji Spearmen rank.
Hasil Penelitian: Peran keluarga pada kategori cukup menimbulkan kemandirian personal
hygiene yang cukup sebanyak 17 orang (54,8%) dan kemandirian personal hygiene yang
kurang sebanyak 6 orang (19,3%). Peran keluarga yang kurang seluruhnya menimbulkan
kemandirian personal hygiene yang kurang sebanyak 4 orang (12,9). Uji Spearmen rank
didapatkan p value sebesar 0,000.
Pembahasan: Keluarga merupakan orang-orang terdekat yang mampu memberikan
dampak positif bagi anggota keluarga lainnya. Dengan adanya peran aktif dari keluarga
akan meningkatkan kemandirian pada anak lebih cepat tercapai melalui proses bimbingan
pendidikan dan pengawasan yang dilakukan secara bertahap dan terus menerus.
Kesimpulan: terdapat hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kemandirian personal
hygiene anak berkebutuhan khusus kelas sd di SLB Budi Bakti 2 Cipaku.

Abstract
Background: The role of the family is the specific behavior expected by someone in the
family context. Children with special needs are children who have disabilities or different
abilities that interfere with learning or other activities so that they require special services.
Purpose: To determine the relationship of the role of the family to the independence of
personal hygiene in children with special needs in the elementary school at SLB Budi Bakti
2 Cipaku.
Research Methods: Using a correlation analytic method design with a cross-sectional
approach. The population used in this study were all parents with children with special
needs (mentally disabled, blind and autism), sampling using the total sampling method so
that a sample of 31 people was obtained. Processing data using the Spearmen rank test.
Results: The role of families in the category sufficiently caused adequate personal hygiene
independence as many as 17 people (54.8%) and lack of personal self-hygiene as many
as 6 people (19.3%). The role of the family that is less than all causes less personal hygiene
independence of 4 people (12.9). Spearmen rank test obtained p value of 0,000.
Discussion: The family is the closest people who can have a positive impact on other
family members. With the active role of the family, self-reliance in children can be more
quickly achieved through a process of educational guidance and supervision that is carried
out gradually and continuously.
Conclusion: there is a relationship of family support with the personal hygiene
independence of children with special needs of elementary school classes at SLB Budi
Bakti 2 Cipaku.
