4.1.4.2.3 (Recommended) Adding Cameras Using a Wizard
When you add cameras using a Wizard, the eSpace IVS system automatically searches for the cameras that match your search criteria, allowing you to easily
select required cameras to add.

Background

When you choose to add cameras using a wizard, you must set the mode for adding cameras to Single server or Stack. The two modes are differentiated from
each other in the following aspects:

Networking mode:
You can select only Single server in single­node system networking mode.
You can select Single server or Stack in stack networking mode.

Operation mode:
When you select Single server, you only need to select Access server. Then, the system can search for cameras through the access server
and connect to them automatically.
When you select Stack, you need to select both Access server and Mount server. Then, the system can search for cameras through the
access server and you need to manually connect the cameras to the mounting server.

Procedure

1. In the Others panel on the left of the Workspace tab page, double­click Add Camera, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Select Stack and click Next.
3. Set search criteria, as shown in Figure 2.

  NOTE:
The Drive parameter indicates the protocol that a camera complies with.
You are advised to specify the start and end IP addresses to shorten the search time while improving the search accuracy.

a. Click   in the lower left corner.
b. Set the start and end IP addresses.
c. Set Drive to HWSDK.
d. Select an access server.
e. Click Next. 
The page for searching for and verifying cameras is displayed.

4. Search for and verify cameras, as shown in Figure 3.

 NOTE:
Cameras that have already been added to the eSpace IVS system are not displayed in the search result.
If the default password of a camera has been changed, do not click Search for three consecutive times. Otherwise, the user account may be locked.

Enter the correct user name and password for each camera. If the verification result is   after you click Verify, do not repeatedly click Verify. Otherwise, the user
account may be locked.
 a. Click Search.
b. In each camera record, Select the mount server, enter the corresponding user name and password in the text boxes and click Verify.
If the verification result is  , the camera is verified.
c. Select cameras to add and click Next. 
The page for previewing live video and adjusting camera settings is displayed.

5. Preview live video from a camera and adjust camera settings if needed, as shown in Figure 4.

 NOTE:
If not all the selected cameras are included in the camera list on the left (the eSpace IVS system may be unable to load all cameras within a short period of time), click
Refresh to display them all. For example, if you have selected 100 cameras but only 80 of them are included in the camera list, 80/100 appears next to Refresh. When
this occurs, click Refresh to display all the selected cameras.
After adjusting the parameter settings, click Apply to Others to apply the settings to cameras of the same model as this one.

a. Click a camera on the left to display live video on the right.
b. Set Camera name and Location.
c. Adjust the camera settings based on the live video display.
d. Click Next. 
The page for grouping cameras is displayed.

6. (Optional) Group cameras by surveillance area or installation location, as shown in Figure 5.

 a. Select a domain.
b. Click New Group.
c. Right­click a group, choose Rename from the shortcut menu, and rename and group.
d. Drag cameras to the group.

7. Click Next. 
The cameras are added, as shown in Figure 6. If the   icon is displayed in the Status column, the cameras are successfully added.
