AGM started around 10.30 A.M with lighting of lamp and performing pooja.

Ravi Kumar Appealed to all members present , since its being AF’s first AGM to excuse if any short
comings or mistakes are there in conducting the meeting or in arrangements and requested to come up
with ideas and share their expertise.

1.Akella Foundation Treasurer Sri Ram gave a power point presentation about all the events and
programs conducted so far. Then Audited Accounts were read out and head wise explained. Approval
of audit reported was proposed by Advocate Srinivasa Rao Garu and seconded by Shri Akella peri Siva
Kumar garu and the Audited Accounts passed.

2..Shri HP Rao garu suggested to appoint District wise representatives for uniting all Akellas and make
them members. Then he suggested to maintain Family history of members & Genealogy. Below poverty
line – Akella’s should be identified, in Application form a column should be there asking for their income
slabs, to help the lower income or below poverty line Akella’s then their case should be studied and
then necessary help can be extended.. Creating employment to Akellas. He also suggested that
schemes to be designed. for- Education, Employment and for Up liftment of Akella families. Study on
our culture to be promoted. Patriotism, Brahmanism are to be inculcated. Eminent people in Akellas to
be recognised and to be made known to all . Preservation and Promotion of our culture & sanatana
dharma. Preservation is nothing but, to follow our dharma.Veda pathasalalu to be uplifted Vangmeyam
to be read (puranalu, ithihasalu etc) To serve - Seva is the sixth one. Events to be conducted through
sponsors.

3. . Peri Siva Kumar garu - Introduced himself

He suggested that administration fund and funds for schemes should be maintained separately and
not to mix up.. he also said Health is wealth and emphasized the necessity of medical camps he recalled
how the tests conducted in Eluru medical camp helped a woman in bringing awareness and get to
know the unknown diseases.

Whenever a discussion came up or any doubt arouse Sri Siva kumar garu immediately attended and
gave conclusions and clarifications.Thus he marked his presence and assured to extend his full co
operation to A F.

4. Sri Akella Krishna Murthy garu offered to send information about our Rishi's & gothram .

5. Akella Lakshmi Nageswar Rao garu - Skill is important and we need to identify skill training centers,
and direct them towards He supported the idea of district coordinators, scheme based programs, to
identify and brand the Akella family members in Abroad. Visits to temples, programs to be organized
Religious, musical concerts, Strength to be published Monthly.

He also said that since Akella foundation is a Family name based foundation getting memberships and
donations from outsiders is difficult , Scheme based programs to be prepared and then to approach
business organizations and institutions for funds.

6. At this point a small discussion went and it is agreed by all, that Akella Foundation admirers are to be
increased (as members) for which Ravi kumar garu informed that already some admirers are admitted
as members and requested all members to go through the list of members to get more clarity.

7. Mohan Akella - he introduced himself and about his family and suggested Entertainment should also
be there.

8. Akella Srinivasa Rao garu ( Sr. High Court Advocate ) Said about the need of Brahmins participating in
Politics and stressed that political power for Brahmins is the need of the hour and explained about the
importance of Bar Council elections in Which Smt. Akella Subbalakshmi garu contested.

9. Akella Bhaskar Garu -Introduced himself. " He suggested Akella’s need to help physically also.

He also suggested that Expenditure to be reduced to the maximum extent possible and Membership &
Renewals to be followed first by executive members.

Involve locals and keep them in front in all district & area events and programs and at least 2
representatives should be there. Membership to be made compulsory. Membership fees to be reduced .
Travel expenditure to be borne by Executive Team members.

Young generation in Akella Foundation to be helped & uplifted by NRI’S . Any member planning for self
employment need to be helped. He gave example of Akella Siva Kumar from Razole.. White & Pink
ration card holders to be notified amongst Akella’s and help to be extended to white ration card holders
only. NRI’s donations to be spent for the same cause

10. Nandini Akella – introduced herself.. She said that today if we all are here its only because of
initiative taken by Sri Ravi Kumar…. Enthusiasm is important. We should learn self appreciation and
other group members affinity, Being self-responsible by every member.

11. Lakshmi Kameswari Garu - "Sense of help" is needed and members need to take self-responsibility

Poor brahmins - upanayanaalu . Keep monthly savings and use it for service

13. Akella Aruna Subbalakshmi Garu - Thanked all the members who have helped her in her election
campaign.

14. AA Babu Garu - Hindus and Brahmins are at disadvantage. Any scheme we make all are to be
oriented towards Brahmins .Group Need to be big .Akellas first, Brahmins and then society

Be positive, be Selfless, Self responsibility . He is ready to discuss on any points

15. Akella Srinivas – working in Accenture from Tanuku Introduced himself and shared his wishes and
expressed his solidarity with Team akella Foundation headed by Ravi Kumar.

16. Akella Anand Garu - Shared his wishes and expressed his solidarity with Team akella Foundation
headed by Ravi Kumar.

17. Akella Bharathi Garu - Temporary problems we are helping . Take a problem and solve it completely

Spread across and beyond Akellas towards all Brahmins and then towards society.

19. Akella Vasu - His wishes, His assurance of service Unity of Akellas' is the core idea. He advised to
bring all akellas through district coordinators. Thereby strengthening the financial aspects

23. Sri Akella Mallikarjuna Sarma garu –Initiators like Ravi Kumar need to be encouraged more and
more by all means and if such persons loose interest or get tired because of other member’s / people
inactiveness then the total mission may fail and in future also people may think twice to take any
initiation. He also stressed the need of financial support for the foundation to run smoothly and
effectively.

Sarma garu also said that Elders need to "lead by example" He, his wife and all his 3 sons have now
become life members & here after assured Rs 1,000/- per month as donation by all those 4 members,
Sri Sarma garu recalled his donation Of Rs 1000/-every month since the inception of Akella Foundation

24. Akella Gayatri w/o Sri Mohan - She wished and assured that they will involve and participate in all
activities of “A F” after their family responsibilities (marriage of their daughter)

25. Akella Mahesh -All Akellas' to unite and wished the best.

26. Akella Suresh Kumar expressed his interest to conduct a medical camp at Guntur, he recalled the
Eluru medical camp movements with Sri Peri Siva kumar garu then he suggested that the renewal fee
amount to be reduced.

27. Akella Ravi Kumar - Announced about the Formation of a three member Disciplinary & advisory
committee under the chairmanship of Sri Mallikarjuna Sarma garu, Sri H P Rao garu and Sri peri Siva
Kumar garu as members and Sri Bhaskar garu will assist them from foundation.

The draft copy of The Charter of the said committee Distributed amongst proposed members for their
approval and any changes suggested by them may be incorporated.

Announced about Appointment of Auditors - KG Maniyar & Co

An amount of Rs 10,000/-towards Scholarships for Merit students of other castes,poor students

,proposed who are studying in Government schools which is also necessary for getting N G O status and
exemption under Sec. 80G, without which the prosperity of the Foundation may be dampened.

The said scholarship scheme shall be sponsored by Ravi Kumar himself.

Discussion went on for this point. Vasu garu & HP Rao Garu objected the point, Mallikharjuna Sarma
Garu said some % can be given to others. Sri Peri Siva Kumar garu said when the Society which consists
of all sections of people has given so much to us why not give back some amount for the well being of
the society . Smt Nandini garu supported the idea. Smt Geetanjali garu said we are blessed to born in
this divine community and we as Brahmins must have some magnanimity and supported the idea.

A A Babu Garu also supported to help only Akellas which is slightly contradicting from his earlier
message, on reminding this he said initially only Akellas to be supported and once sufficient funds are
accumulated then the help may be extended to non Akella Brahmins and then to others castes also..

Ravi kumar said to give a free hand of Rs 10,000/- per annum to speed up the process of NGO status
and getting exemption certificate from income tax department and any other such permissions or
licenses may be required time to time. The details of the expenditure shall be submitted as and when
occurred Thus the discussion concluded.
