1. What do you know about Civil Engineering?

- The work of a civil engineer involves planning, designing,

maintenance and constructions of civil engineering works.
Examples of their works are infrastructures for commerce
like malls and buildings, transportations and human
settlement. They collaborate with architect with regards to
the designs. In simple terms, they supervise on how the
constructions will be done.

2. Why Civil Engineering?

- It is one of the most difficult and challenging courses and I
wanted to improve my mathematical skills and beside to that
I am willing to design and construct an infrastructure. A few
people also told me that this course was in demand and
that’s my reasons why I chose this course.
- During High School, planning and designing structures is
what I’m really interested in. I didn’t have any dreams when I
was younger so I’ve said to myself that I need to study hard,
always go through the most difficult path so I can choose
what I want to be when I grow up.

3. How did you become interested in CE?

- I always wondered how they build high rise buildings and
bridges. Whenever I see unique infrastructures it really
amazes me. I was interested into what kind of method or
application they use to create that thing. Hoping that
someday I get a chance to design and construct buildings
I’ve become more interested in this course.
1. What do you know about Electrical Engineering?
- Their work centers on the generation and utilization of
electricity for industrial, commercial and residential purposes.
Apart from these, they deal with the development and real-
life applications of electrical circuitry, digital systems,
electrical equipment, and machine control.

2. Why Electrical Engineering?

- I’m interested on the field of electricity, on how they generate
and distribute electricity. I’ve chosen this course to know
more about electricity and besides I like working with wires
and electricity so It’s like a win-win situation for me.

3. How did you become interested in EE?

- It was when I was in High School. I passed the test and I
was included on what is called the Science Class of our
school. Most of our subjects are different and one of them
was electronics. It took my attention because it’s the first
time I’ve encountered designing an electrical board and
learning different symbols for electronics. I was interesting
and our project included making a power supply and a radio
work. I was fun and interesting at the same time because I
was up to us to use what we’ve learned and apply our
experiences from the past activities to make it work.
Because of that I’ve decided to pursue something that
involves electricity and hoping to encounter the same kind of
activities again.
