What is AI ?
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the replication of human
analytical and/or decision-making capabilities.
• Perform as well or better than the average person when
faced with everyday tasks
Narrow AI (ANI)
• very good at behaving intelligently when applied to one
well-defined area of expertise
General AI (AGI)
• can learn and act intelligently across a wide range of
environments and problems in a similar way to a person
Machine Learning
• use of mathematical procedures (algorithms) to analyze data. The aim
is to discover useful patterns (relationships or correlations) between
different items of data. Once the relationships have been identified,
these can be used to make inferences about the behaviour of new
cases when they present themselves.
Prediction / Predictive Analysis
• using machine learning to determine something that you don’t currently
know, based on the information that you currently have available
• Could be past, present or future
• Reducing uncertainty
• Score
• Usually in layers

• Without human supervision • Cognition As a Service
• Deep Learning (DL)
• Artificial Neural Networks (ANN)
Non-linear
Affective Computing
• computing that relates to, arises from, or
deliberately influences emotion or other
affective phenomena.
• Ability of machine to understand emotional
state of human and respond accordingly
• Artificial Emotional Intelligence
