Promotional Guide
What do you lead with? Authenticity? Integrity? Passion?

All of us bring something different to leadership, and have

come into leadership through different means. The 2019 LEAD
Conference wants to highlight that every individual leads with
something different, and that every situation calls for varied
kinds of leadership. So what do you bring to leadership? We are
excited to bring you into the conversation, to learn from your
peers, and to give you more tools to “LEAD with”.

See you there!

“Attending the LEAD conference for the first time

was the highlight of my year. It was an amazing
experience being surrounded by people who felt so
passionate about residence life. Although leadership
took different forms in each school, the determination
to better our community was something that we all
shared and celebrated throughout the weekend.”

presentations

poster-style
Effective poster presentations can be used to grab attention, advertise
events, educate and just be plain fun! Poster presentations if done
successfully, can be one of the cornerstones of connecting with students
in residence and can educate students on important issues in your
residence environment. Delegates are encouraged to create a poster
presentation for viewing at the conference. These presentations will
create an amazing opportunity for the delegates to educate their peers
and fellow delegates on topics of interest around the idea of Lead With.

conference-style
The conference committee is looking to you to develop some amazing
programs that cover a wide range of residence life topics, such as
programming, community development, peer helping, discipline issues,
conflict resolution, health and wellness, academics, diversity and any
other topics that are relevant to your role as a student staff member.
Each residence system is unique and offers excellent programs for their
residents; we encourage you to share your love for residence life with all
those at the RLPA Student Leadership Conference.
