ABSTRAK

Pengaruh Bercerita Menggunakan Gambar Seri Terhadap Perkembangan


Bahasa Anak Usia Prasekolah

Keterlambatan perkembangan bahasa adalah ketidakmampuan anak untuk


menggunakan simbol linguistik untuk berkomunikasi secara verbal. Bercerita yang
paling sering diterapkan dalam pendidikan usia dini, salah satunya adalah gambar seri
yang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan anak, isinya menarik, mudah dimengerti dan
membawa pesan, baik dalam hal pembentukan perilaku positif maupun
pengembangan kemampuan dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
pengaruh bercerita menggunakan gambar seri terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak
usia prasekolah di PAUD TK Prawidia Dharma Kumara. Penelitian ini menggunakan
rancangan penelitian pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-postest.
Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 23 orang anak, dengan teknik purposive
sampling. Perkembangan bahasa diukur dengan lembar observasi bahasa yang
berpedoman dengan DDST II (Denver Development Screening Test II). Hasil uji
Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test didapatkan hasil p value (0,000 < 0,05), menunjukkan H0
ditolak, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh bercerita menggunakan gambar seri
terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak usia prasekolah di PAUD TK Prawidia Dharma
Kumara. Diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya dapat meningkatkan pendekatan terhadap
anak, waktu penelitian diperpanjang sehingga hasil perkembangan suspect/untestable
dapat dilakukan penilaian ulang dan peneliti selanjutnya bisa menggunakan kelompok
kontrol sehingga hasil yang didapatkan, dapat dibandingkan keefektifannya.

ABSTRACT

The Effect Of Storytelling Using Picture Series On The Language Development Of


Pre-School Children

The delay in language development is the child's inability to use linguistic


symbols to communicate verbally. Storytelling is the most often applied in early
childhood education, one of them is picture series which corresponds to the stage of
child development, the contents are interesting, easy to understand and contains
message, both in terms of the formation of positive behaviors and the development of
basic skills. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of storytelling using
picture series on the language development of pre-school children at PAUD TK
Prawidia Dharma Kumara. Pre-experimental research design was applied in this
study, with one group pretest-posttest design. The samples were 23 children, which
was taken with purposive sampling technique. The language development is
measured by the language observation sheet which is guided by DDST II (Denver
Developmental Screening Test II). Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test results obtained p value
(0.000 < 0.05), indicating H0 is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is
an effect of storytelling using picture series on the language development of pre-
school children at PAUD TK Prawidia Dharma Kumara. Based on the results of
these studies, the next researcher should be improve the approach to the child, the
research time is extended so that the result of the suspect / untestable development
can be reassessed and the researcher can then use the control group so that the
results obtained can be compared the effectiveness.
