CROSS CHRONICLE
Our class is a wonderful mix of old friends and new friends. We are learning about each other as we
work together as partners and in groups, solve problems, and explore different ideas.
Library
The students are encouraged to check out and read
books from the Bryker Woods Library. Our library
time is Wednesday mornings from 8:50–9:35.
Please remember to bring your library books to
school on Wednesdays!
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Our citizenship unit focuses on group interaction
and getting along with others. The children are
doing an outstanding job. They enjoyed learning
about their classmates as our students presented
their “Proud to be Me” bags.
Volunteer Opportunities
Tristin Sullivan (Marco) and Bridgette Stahlman
(Kenner) will serve as our class PTA contact
parents and will send out information about
volunteer opportunities and class parties.
The Bryker Woods PTA uses Living Tree to
communicate with parents. Please let me know if
you are having difficulty accessing the information
or have questions.

Remember, to stay up-to-date on all fourth-grade
announcements and resources, check out the fourth-
grade website! On the STEM page for Mrs.
Wallace’s class, you can find important information
about our math and science class. Please check
back frequently for any updates.
The 4th Grade Handbook is posted on the website.
You will also find a video and links to AISD
student cloud and information about accessing the
AISD parent cloud.

Kudos!
It was wonderful to see so many of you at Back-To-
School Night! Thank you for coming. I appreciated
the opportunity to share information about our
wonderful classroom.
In summary:
• We are still fine-tuning our routines. The
Student Binder contains your child’s
homework assignments and
resource/reference papers. The binder serves
as an “anchor of support” for your child’s
learning. Please remind your student to bring
the binder to school every day.
• Students are encouraged to read nightly.
Additional homework may include math
practice, studying vocabulary words, and
enrichment writing activities.
• We are working on handwriting and writing
headings on school papers.
