Prayer Before a Test

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now

Your love surpasses all fear
I give you the anxiety I feel
I surrender all my worries to you
Clear my mind
Calm my heart
Still my Spirit
Relax my being
That I may always glorify you
In everything I write, speak and do

Psalm 121
A good scripture to meditate on before going into an exam room is Psalm 121. It speaks of
God's everlasting love and protection:-

1-2 I look up to the mountains;

does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God,
who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

3-4 He won’t let you stumble,

your Guardian God won’t fall asleep.
Not on your life! Israel’s
Guardian will never doze or sleep.

5-6 God’s your Guardian,

right at your side to protect you—
Shielding you from sunstroke,
sheltering you from moonstroke.

7-8 God guards you from every evil,

he guards your very life.
He guards you when you leave and when you return,
he guards you now, he guards you always.

Bible Verses for Exams

Some words of Jesus about worry:-

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your
body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more
important than clothes?"

(Matthew 6:24-26, NIV)

and also later in verse 34:-

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day
has enough trouble of its own"

(Matthew 6:34, NIV)

No matter what the result of the examination, God will still love us, protect us. and walk
with us. We can trust Him with our lives because he has created us and ultimately knows
what is best for us. And he promises to be with us, forever:-
"...surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age"
(Matthew 6:34, NIV)

Another scripture to meditate on before an exam:-

""I tell you, ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be
opened to you. "

(Luke 11:9, NHEB

Paul's exhortation to pray:-

"Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your
prayers and requests to God."

(Philippians 4:6, CEV)
