As rail networks extend in a radial manner from Tokyo there is a particularly rich number of

[How to use taxis] Japanese taxi is a safe transportation means. There are taxi ranks at most railway stations. Pay onboard
Taxi
after reaching your destination. Base fare is 730 to 810 yen for 2km. After this fares are calculated based on time and
distance. Fares between 22:00 and 5:00 have a 20% surcharge. No tip is necessary. When using taxis from sightseeing spots,
you can call the number on the receipt you received on the journey there and the staff at the spot will call a taxi for you.
Depending on the spot it may also be possible to hail a passing taxi.

For locations which are not easily reached by rail, you can use a highway bus. The ease of

trains.
