ABSTRACT
Lately there have been many cases that reflect the lack of value in national insight.
Especially among adolescents, therefore a method is needed to cultivate values of national
insight using media that is familiar among teenagers as well as Instagram social media.
Because social media is widely used by teenagers, especially MAN 1 Ngawi students. This
study, aims to determine the understanding of adolescents, especially students of MAN 1
Ngawi towards national values after the propaganda of national insight through Instagram @
millenial-4indonesia.
This research was conducted at MAN 1 Ngawi on August 4, 2018 to August 23, 2018.
This study used a qualitative research method and the research sample used purposive
sampling technique. That is by choosing five followers with the most comments. This is
because, in qualitative research, samples were chosen to get maximum information from five
participants to be interviewed about the extent of the influence of content on national insights
uploaded on Instagram @ millenial4indonesia. While the main technique for data collection
in this study is semistructure interview (semistructure interview), which is an interview
technique in the in-depth category that aims to find problems more openly, where the
interviewee is asked for opinions and ideas.
The results of the study concluded that the propaganda of national insight values
through Instagram social media received a pretty good response among teenagers. In addition
to positive responses, the existence of Instagram account @ millenial4indonesia also has a
positive influence on understanding aspects and basic values in national insight. This can be
proven from the answers of each resource person who can mention the concepts and
examples of their application. In addition, resource persons are also encouraged to apply in
everyday life.
