Transmission Oil Filter Base - Remove

Removal Procedure
Start By:

A. Remove the transmission oil filter. Refer to Operation and

Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil Filter - Remove
and Install" for the correct procedure.

3. Remove two bolts (6) from transmission oil filter base (2).
Remove transmission oil filter base (2) from the mounting
brackets.

1. Disconnect the fittings on hose assembly (1) from

transmission oil filter base (2) .

2. Remove eight bolts (5), the washers, and four flange halves
(4) in order to disconnect two hose assemblies (3). plug the
hose fittings in order to prevent the loss of oil, and keep dirt g00621160

out of the oil system.
 4. Remove plug (10) from the transmission oil filter base (2) . 2. Install spring (7), spool (8), and plug (10) in the
transmission oil filter base (2) .
5. Remove O-ring seal (9) from plug (10) .

6. Remove spool (8) and spring (7) from the transmission oil Ver imagen

Installation Procedure
Note: Verify that all of the components of the differential and
bevel gear are clean and free of foreign material prior to
installation.

Note: Check all of the components and all of the O-ring seals for
wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being
sealed.

3. Position transmission oil filter base (2) to the mounting
bracket. Install two bolts (6) and the washers in order to
secure transmission oil filter base (2) to the mounting
bracket.
