Mechanics for Initial Database (IDB) Interview

A. Secure consent (to be sent to your class president) from the head of the family.
B. The interview will measure the topic learning outcomes on communication and documentation.
C. The interview has to last for maximum of 15 minutes. You may not include the consent taking in the actual
video.
D. Make sure that the face of the interviewee will be seen in the video.
E. Save the videos in one folder for one clinical group using last name as the file name e.g. dela Cruz_B1. Save the
videos in one USB and bring one laptop for each clinical group.
F. Interview don’t need to cover all the content of the IDB. However, the interview video has to be substantial.
G. Interview may jump from one item of the IDB to another depending on the flow of the process. But instructors
will take note of how you handle situations like this.
H. Students are not allowed to use side notes or guides during the interview.
I. Do not fill-up the IDB forms yet. Filling-up will be done during RD class time therefore the student has to know
all the items.
J. Interviewing immediate family member is not allowed. Preferably, the head of the family.
K. Note the proxemics or the professional distance.
L. Wear SLU ID and semi-formal attire during interview.
