Since the inception of the Medical Marijuana Ballot Petition passed overwhelmingly by the voters of
Massachusetts, the credibility of cannabis as a true form of medicine has been challenged and even
further stigmatized by nonbelievers.

The Massachusetts Patient Advocacy Alliance (MPAA), the group that drafted and worked to pass this
important initiative, has never left the patients' side throughout the implementation of both the Medical
Marijuana Law and the redrafting of the Adult Use Law in 2017 which codified the Medical Marijuana
Program into statute. MPAA has never been closer to integrating cannabis into traditional healthcare.

The summit will share how MPAA won these essential legislative changes that gives the respect that
cannabis in medicine deserves and why MPAA believes Massachusetts is the pioneer the medical
