What is a booster horn?

A booster horn is a one-half-wavelength long resonant section made of aluminum or titanium. It modifies the
amplitude of vibration applied to the horn.

Where is it located?
The booster is mounted between the converter and horn.

How does it work?

To provide an amplitude change, the booster will have different diameters on either side of its center or nodal
point. A smaller diameter at the end attached to the horns, means that the boosters horn is amplitude increasing.
A greater diameter at the end attached to the horn means the booster horn is amplitude decreasing.
Clamped at their nodal point, booster horns provide rigid support for the converter/horn assembly.

Assembled horns consist of a back driver with multiple front drivers. This

General Description:

The separation of injection-molded parts from their runner systems through the introduction of
ultrasonic energy into the area of the
gate is referred to as ultrasonic degating. These gate sections, when ultrasonically excited, reach
high temperatures and melt due to a high degree of intermolecular excitation and internal friction.

This information sheet describes ultrasonic degating and provides design guidelines for its use. The
advantages of ultrasonic
degating include:
• Speed of operation, with a typical cycle time of less than one second.
• No stress develo
• A clean break at the part surface with minimal vestige.
• Many parts may be simultaneously degated and automatically separated into bins.

Mechanics of Ultrasonic Degating

The vibrating horn contacts the runner as closely to the part as possible with relatively light force,
generally 20 to 40 pounds,imparting maximum energy into the runner system. The mechanical
vibrations generate a standing wave of energy down the runner through the gate area and Into the
part.

Heat staking machine is that through a temperature- controlled heating plate to weld the automotive parts . The heating
head place on the top of door part where need riveting , and with pressure down to heating the plastic pin , the plastic
pin melting and hold on , and then forming the shaping with the air cooling. Then the heat welding is finished . The weld
strength can surpass in raw intensity .
